This is just the digital piano I was looking for. I am a drummer that's looking to expand my musical capabilities, so I wanted to learn the piano. I don't have enough room to have an acustic piano, so I bought this one. I played around with a few of the higher end digital pianos, while I was in Guitar Center, to compare this one to them. I was impressed to find that other than the keys being a little bit lighter to the touch, it was pretty comprable for the price! The piano sound itself is very nice, and the are a few extra options that are nice to have on this guy. It has built in effects like reverb and corus. And it has a recorder built in to jot your musical ideas! I also like the fact that it CAN be hooked up to a PC via usb and used as a midi controller. It would be awesome if it had a pitch and mod wheel, but hey, for the price, i get why they are not there. All in all, I'm extremely pleased with this piano. Perfect for an appartment or if you are just deciding if you want to pursue the piano without spending tons of money. The only thing I would change is the fact that you have to buy the AC adapter separately. It should come with it. Instead they kind of force you to buy the Williams essentials pack with the sustain pedal ac adapter and something else ( I forget what else is there. I already have a sustain pedal and convinced them to throw in the AC adapter from the floor display for free ). Very happy with this and would buy it again!

I am a real consumer. Kids taking lessons so we needed piano at home. Purchased Williams Allegro 2 in January this year. The first one--the speaker was no good. so exchanged it 01/16/2016. Now we are on our second one. Get it home--no music rest. OK--contacted support center per instructions in box. We wait and music rest arrives. Now---02/05/2016---the LED screen lights up and is blank and the piano will not play at all. The instructions have no info on troubleshooting and the support center only available M-F. The is the worst experience with Williams Allegro 2. The deals may be good but the quality of the product is poor.

I bought this keyboard so I wouldn't have to lug my Yamaha DGX-650 to and from the church band I am in. I had bought the Allegro 1 and it had messed up the night I got it. Then I bought the Allegro 2 and the speakers blew out a month later while playing at the building we have church at. So I decided to just get another Yamaha keyboard like mine because I have no had any problems and the sound is amazing. The price tag is pricey but it is worth it. DO NOT BUY ANY WILLIAMS PRODUCTS!!!!!

Got the piano today and set it up. Then Went to turn it on and thought I must have missed the power supply somewhere in the box. No there is no power supply included. Most people don't even think about that until they try to power it on. You have to buy an accessory kit. Luckily I had 6 D batteries in the garage. Playing off and on 4 hours the batteries are already spent. I'll have to get a 12V 1A power supply somewhere else but not ordering the "accessory kit", Thanks. Okay I might here it is if your looking http://www.guitarcenter.com/Williams/ESS1-Essentials-Pack-for-Legato-and-Allegro-2-Digital-Pianos.gc
The software is nice. Has learning mode and shows what note/key is pressed overlaid on the staff.

My husband purchased this as an early Christmas gift. I needed something to take to shows but that I could also manipulate sound on, and this is perfect. The speaker & midi capability make this a great purchase for our family so that my children can learn on it until we can afford something in the higher end when we're all doctors.

Played piano ( under protest) as a child. Have been teaching self guitar lately, and after having a voice lesson with a piano playing teacher, wanted another piano, but this is the easy answer for me. Lite to move around, great sound. Have only had it a couple weeks, but love it. Love the sound.

Comments about Williams Allegro 2 Plus with Power Supply and Sustain Pedal:

I took lessons for years and years as a kid and can still sight-read passably well. I really missed being able to play on a regular basis since my career has had me moving multiple times in my life and I usually can't afford to move an actual piano. So I'd been wanting to get a keyboard to play for fun at home for years now and finally took the plunge. I wanted it to have 88 keys, sound like a real piano, didn't want too many bells and whistles, just something I could put a little feeling into (so something sort of like weighted keys). I've been pleasantly surprised by how sensitive the keys are. While nothing beats a real, well-tuned piano, you can definitely add enough dynamics with this keyboard to put some feeling into the music. And I initially considered the organ and electric piano sounds as just an extra, but now I'm thinking it would be really fun to try some funk or blues with the organ option. The price is really reasonable. I didn't think I'd be able to get something under $500 that sounds this good. It's so comfortable to play that I can tell I'm making way fewer sight-reading mistakes than I would have on my parents' old piano that has a few distracting sticky/out of tune keys. The only drawback is that you have to buy a separate kit that includes a power cord, sustain pedal and headphones for $30. The sustain pedal seemed fine at first, but I'm starting to have problems with it and might try to find a better one soon, if possible. If I'd known better, I would have tried to shop around a little for the accessories. If you already have your own quality pair of headphones, you can just buy a 1/8 to 1/4 " jack adapter for a few bucks to be able to plug in your own headphones. I'm not sure whether you can buy a compatible power cord just by itself, but I'm sure there must be better electric sustain pedal options out there.

Comments about Williams Allegro 2 Plus with Power Supply and Sustain Pedal:

This reasonably price instrument is the real deal.
It plays like an acoustic piano, with its' fully weighted keys. Keys are even an ivory color and feel, rather than plastic construction of less expensive models. Features: multi-voices, recording capability and 10 song library (good for sound check if you are short handed). I purchased the Williams Allegro 2 and the, less expensive Legato for comparison. The Legato is going back as there is no comparison to the Allegro 2.

Comments about Williams Allegro 2 Plus with Power Supply and Sustain Pedal:

I am primarily a guitar player who has recently transitioned into the world of jazz piano, and this hefty dude has made it a wonderful experience. I am an intermediate player, and after reading all the hate reviews for Williams I was tempted to cancel the order, but I am so happy I didn't. This piano is fantastic. I use its USB port to hook it up to a software, where I can play it through a huge variety of customized sounds through my good stereo and it sounds beyond professional. I would not get this if you dont plan on hooking it up since the speakers aren't the best(unless used for the E. piano sound). But through the right software and speakers, this instrument has helped me grow tremendously as a musician while having tons of fun. It's not something you grow out of in a few years, I plan to use this till it dies. Would recommend!

Feels great, sounds good, and cheap. Really good option for learning piano. The knobs and buttons are cheap, but it doesn't matter if you're in it for the weighted keys.

I bought this keyboard for a K-8 Catholic school where I teach. Keys went bad inside of a year. Guitar Center repair is a joke. I took it to a reputable repair shop, and they repeatedly tried to contact Williams unsuccessfully. I've spent thousands of dollars at Guitar Center on instruments and supplies for myself and the school where I teach, but NO MORE!
