  • Great Feel, Poor Sound

As reviewed by Ethan Holly on 1/6/2014

The keyboard feels great, weighted keys feel a lot like a real piano. Couldn't ask for better from a digital piano. The on-board voices are few, and the sampling for the piano sounds is terrible. That said, I am using it as a MIDI controller, plugged into my computer USB port, so for my purposes, the on-board sounds don't matter. If you are looking for a piano that sounds nice, don't get this one. If you are using MIDI and just need the right feel, this piano is a good choice.

  • Just what I needed

As reviewed by William Whalen on 12/29/2012

I can only speak for my own needs when I bought this. I played piano a lot as a kid and even played by ear. In my 40's I write a lot of lyrics and sing and even do a lot of band promotion. I wanted a keyboard that was somewhat portable, that sounded JUST like a piano. This is it. It's a full size keyboard that sounds just like a piano. It's a two man carry, but you could use this for a gig. This keyboard does a lot more than just sound like a piano and I haven't even had time to explore all that, but I've really been enjoying playing the piano again. In 3 days, I was already playing along with Patty Griffin's "Rain." I recorded it and it sounds pretty amazing. Not just me (hahaha), but the tone of the piano too.

  • Perfect for a Beginner Student

As reviewed by Tim on 4/24/2015

If you want a piano for someone to start lessons this piano is perfect. My daughter wanted lessons but I didn't want to spend $1000plus on a piano on the chance she would quit. The keys are weighted and velocity-sensitive which means the harder to play the louder it is, just like an acoustic piano. It has a lot of sounds and features you would find on more expensive digital pianos. It looks and fits nice in her bedroom and has a headphone jack play without disturbing the rest of the house. The sound is fine for a bedroom and has external speaker jacks if you want better sound than the internal speakers can provide. For a beginner piano or someone who just wants to put a piano in a small room this piano is perfect.
