This was my first electric guitar. The guy at the music store highly recomended it. I looked at it and loved it. I played it and loved it. Not only does it look sexy, it sounds sexy. And the Buzz Feiten Tuning System and the VCC Tone controls only make it better! It's a great guitar for anyone wanting to play blues, jazz, classic rock, or heavy metal.
This guitar, visually, has everything a guitar should have. It's glossy and has a very detailed figure with curves that melt dreams and burn fabric. The neck the design had to have been configured in a dream. I loved this guitar until...the input jack shorted out 15 times. An electric guitar with a crappy input jack is useless. Kind of like an amplifier with a shorted power cable. Don't buy it. It's a waste of money and dreams.
I got a Washburn WI 66 and loved it so much that I bought the WI 67. It is the only Cherry Sunburst in my collection. The only reason I gave it the 4.5 on the quality is because they replaced the Quilt top with a Flamed one. I guess that is personal prefence but the quilt is sweet. There are a lot of Cherry Sunbursts out there that look like someone spilled Ketchup and Mustard on the guitar but they really did this right. The V.C.C. and Buzz Feiton system make this a great value. The Pickups are adequate making this a rival to guitars costing several hundreds in dollars more.
