I've had mine for two days now, and cannot put it down. I haven't plugged in yet. Unplugged tone is fantastic. I love the balance of the warm cedar top and the sparkly harmonics of the rosewood body. It sounds "three dimensional". Fingerstyle and flat pick, it all sounds good. Action at the nut is good, but it's a little higher than I like at the 12th fret. Neck is dead straight, so it seems a big job to lower the action (bridge/saddle work). Craftsmanship is very good. Very good. This thing is gorgeous. Lots of abalone, and the binding is an attractive light-colored wood. The top is flawless. The neck is super-comfortable, with the satin finish. From what I can see, the bracing is neat and solid. Tuners are "Washburn", but they look and act like Grovers. Nice. Body is large, but still comfortable to play sitting. The waist is narrower than a dread, so it sits lower, and I can get my arm around with no trouble. All in all, I am very pleased with my purchase. It compares favorably to guitars costing twice as much.
This guitar is AWESOME for any player, beginner, experienced, and anywhere in between. It sounds great plugged in AND out of an amp, the neck and fingerboard is very "player friendly." I have zero regrets with my purchase. I love waking up in the morning and playing my baby, and for the price...this model is a MUST BUY!
It sounds nice unplugged. That's how you know you got "good wood". Once, plugged in, depending on the amp, it sounded decent to awesome. This is a great price for a great guitar. If you a broke like me, use the GC credit card and buy this. Atleast you can play outside...and maybe pickup some rich chicks who'll pay off your bill!
