Comments about Washburn WCG25SCE Comfort Series Grand Auditorium Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

Bought this and was at first was somewhat disappointed. The neck isn't as smooth as my ES 339, the strings sit a little high and the bass is much louder than expected. It sits out where I can pick it up several times a day as I walk by. After a week I'm liking it more and more. I think when I fit new strings I'll be thrilled with it. Good buy for the money.

    Best acoustic in the house

    By MARK

Comments about Washburn WCG25SCE Comfort Series Grand Auditorium Cutaway Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I stumbled upon this great instrument while doing research on "comfortable acoustic guitars". My arms are a little shorter than average so when I play dreadnoughts and jumbos my right elbow gets sore pretty fast. The Washburn WCG series has a bevel at just the right spot on the body which completely removes the sharp edge at the elbow. You can see the bevel pretty easily in the pictures. This feature is what drew to the guitar initially but now that I've owned it for two weeks I can tell you that "comfort" isn't the only reason you'll love this guitar. I found the finish work to be exceptional, the Fishman pick up sounds great through my Line 6 Amplify on the "clean, no amp" setting and the Grover tuners are rock solid. It has a very deep, rich sound and very loud. I would have given this guitar a 5 star rating if it wasn't for a few minor complaints. One, it did not come with an owners manual and two, the frets were not finished very well. The owners manual would have come in handy with the truss rod adjustment (needed more relief) I had to do and the frets were "sharp" on the treble side of the neck. Both of this issues were fairly easily fixed with some research and a brand new set of mill files. This guitar is now the "best acoustic in the house." I love this guitar and would highly recommend it to others looking for a comfortable instrument to play.
