Overview

Best known for his ground breaking work in Extreme and currently featured on tour with Rihanna, Nuno Bettencourt has inspired millions of guitarists around the world. While primarily known for playing his signature Washburn N4 Vintage electric guitar, Nuno and Extreme first came to prominence with the acoustic hit, "More Than Words", which featured a Washburn Festival Series acoustic/electric guitar.

It is with that same spirit and desire that Washburn and Nuno conspired to create the perfect stage and studio ready instrument, the EA20SNB. The guitar is a thin jumbo style acoustic/electric with a Florentine cutaway for extended upper fret access. It features a book matched solid Alaskan Sitka spruce top and rosewood back and sides, traditional tonewoods that provide warm resonant tones that project well. A smooth satin finished mahogany neck offers the utmost playing comfort and is topped with a rosewood fingerboard that matches the rosewood bridge, providing elegance while contributing to the warmth and superior feel of this guitar. The fretboard also features Nuno designed ˜mourning widow' inlays at the 12th fret. A bone nut and saddle provide ultimate tone transfer and increased sustain. Chrome Grover 18:1 tuners feature ultra precise tuning and ensure tuning stability. The unique rosette features the ˜mourning widow' motif, which ties in with the fretboard inlay.

One of the best features of the EA20SNB is its feedback reducing thin body and the inclusion of the Fishman Isys+ Tuner/Preamp/Pickup combo for superb natural sounding amplified tone. Fishman is known as the industry standard for acoustic amplified tone and Nuno would settle for no less. Case sold separately.

Last reviewer ??

Comments about Washburn Nuno Signature Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

Last time I checked there is usually never a peg on the upper body of an acoustic guitar! This guitar is amazing. Do some research, and try not to feel too silly about such a ridiculous mistake. SweetRay

GREAT acoustic guitar for the $$$

By Dean Edwards

from Myrtle Beach, SC

Comments about Washburn Nuno Signature Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

This guitar sounds, plays, and feels much much better than one would expect a guitar of this price to sound, play, and feel. I only have ONE problem with it and this totally does not make sense to me. Why would WASHBURN make this guitar with a peg on the lower body for a guitar strap....but NOT put a peg on the upper body....thus leaving no way to strap it on so you can play standing up??!!! I suppose I could have one installed....I just don't get why they would put one and not the other....who is working there that is so ignent?!
