Well worth the money

By Mark Mathews

from Oxford, PA

Comments about Washburn Festival EA15A Spruce Top With Flame Maple Veneer Acoustic Cutaway Electric Guitar With 4-Band EQ:

Overall quality of the guitar seems very good. Very tight, plays well out of the case but some might want to set it up to suit their own taste. Electronics are excellent and has an XLR plug as well as 1/4" jack for plug in, which I think is a great feature. Sounds great ran directly through the PA, though the high ends seem a bit strong but nothing a little engineering can't fix.The finish is really nice, though not what you might expect on a $1500-2000 guitar! Often people purchase these price point models expecting something grandiose. I think the guitar clearly has the quality, sound, electronics, and playability of a $500-600 guitar. Washburn is an excellent product and I like the fact that they have to offer you more to keep up with the more popular name brands. So this same price point with Washburn will often net a much nicer instrument with more features than other, more popular brands.

Comments about Washburn Festival EA15A Spruce Top With Flame Maple Veneer Acoustic Cutaway Electric Guitar With 4-Band EQ:

I picked this guitar up a few days ago. I was looking to get an inexpensive acoustic-electric after not having played in 20 years following an injury. I was expecting a decent guitar, but what I got is truly outstanding. The guitar is beautiful, with no waves in the body. Playability is excellent, even with the stock strings(which aren't great). I haven't had the opportunity to get a proper set-up, but I can't wait to see what it will be like when I do. If you are looking for an inexpensive acoustic-electric, look no further than this guitar.

Comments about Washburn Festival EA15A Spruce Top With Flame Maple Veneer Acoustic Cutaway Electric Guitar With 4-Band EQ:

I got this recently and I'm very impressed. I wanted a low budget beater acoustic with a cutaway. to use other than my Taylor. this guitar looks so great I almost don't want it ever to get scratched. it has a built in tuner, pickup and has 1/4 in input an XLR input. If interested I would encourage you to check the fret ends to make sure they are not sharp most of the other Washburn's I have seen at guitar center are dried out so the fret ends are sharp.

Comments about Washburn Festival EA15A Spruce Top With Flame Maple Veneer Acoustic Cutaway Electric Guitar With 4-Band EQ:

Helped a friend pick this out as a gift, I'm not a pro, but have been playing for the past 20 years or so. I was impressed by the easy play-ability, full tone and weight. This is a really great guitar for your money. Nice hardware and electronics as well. I'm not a huge fan of the color burst, but hey lets be honest, color does nothing but give it looks... I'm seriously considering picking one of these up for myself.

Comments about Washburn Festival EA15A Spruce Top With Flame Maple Veneer Acoustic Cutaway Electric Guitar With 4-Band EQ:

Great value for the money and an excellent guitar (with a little work). The stock tone was a bit bright, so I replaced the strings with something mellow (D'Addario) and lowered the action quite a bit -- now it sounds and plays great!

Comments about Washburn Festival EA15A Spruce Top With Flame Maple Veneer Acoustic Cutaway Electric Guitar With 4-Band EQ:

Picked this up for my daughter; we were blown away by the big, full sound of the guitar when unplugged. Plug it in, and it just gets better. The guitar looks fantastic, plays easily, and the onboard electronics are easy to use. The tuner seemed to work well; using it to tune always gave a clear sound when you were done. I'm impressed, wish I had something this good when I was learning. It really shines playing rhythm and strumming chords, with a chunky, bass heavy sound that can power any solo singer or acoustic band.

Comments about Washburn Festival EA15A Spruce Top With Flame Maple Veneer Acoustic Cutaway Electric Guitar With 4-Band EQ:

Washburn actually makes really good guitars these are made out of great material unlike others including epiphone,ibanez,etc...ive seen the material these are made out of i can see they care about how good a guitar is made and how it sounds instead of just caring more about money than the satisfaction of the customer obviously you cant compare to something worth $600 or higher but these guitars are a true beauty to behold and play id really recommend getting one of these then go to something a little more expensive once your done with this one....
