Overview

Washburn designed the Festival Series to address the needs of the performing musician and it has succeeded for over 25 years. The Festival Series was the standard acoustic/electric guitar seen on MTV's Unplugged Series and has since become one of the best-selling and most copied guitars on the market.

In the case of the EA14SMTEB, its large mini jumbo body features the well-rounded charm of a solid mohogany top and mohagany body in a very playable design (single cutaway with a C neck profile) with a sleek-looking gloss ebony finish.

A Washburn EQ4T preamp system offers you the convenience of and XLR and 1/4" outputs for plugging in, while it gives you a 4-band EQ, notch filter and tuner.

Case or bag sold separately.

Comments about Washburn EA14SMTEB Mini Jumbo Mahogany Solid Top Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I was on the market for an affordable solid top mahogany guitar when I saw this model online. I took a bit of a gamble not being able to play it before I purchased. I am very glad I made this decision. First, this guitar looks awesome! Second, the sound is great and is exactly what I wanted out of a mahogany top guitar. Deep and mellow. Third, and most important the play ability of this guitar is fantastic. It is so comfortable in my hand and plays with minimal effort. It is an absolute joy to play and is such a great value I would recommend this to anyone. Last thing worth mentioning is the electronics. This guitar sounds great plugged in and the tuner is great as well.

Comments about Washburn EA14SMTEB Mini Jumbo Mahogany Solid Top Acoustic-Electric Guitar:

I gave my first review a few months back. Now after owning this guitar and using regularly I feel I need to bring a big weakness of this guitar to light for those considering purchase. I am finding that if I even look at this guitar funny it goes out of tune. I have been playing guitar for a long time, but am by no means an expert, but I know I should be able to play a guitar and not have to worry about constant tuning, especially a guitar in this price range. I have several other guitars, some in lower ranges that can stay in tune for days, while this guitar needs to be tuned during short playing sessions. Don't get me wrong everything I said in the previous review is still true, this guitar plays and sounds amazing but the constant tuning is really beginning to bother me. . I have restrung this guitar many times since purchase with good strings of different brands to eliminate that as a reason. I have also taken the guitar to guitar center and they have assured me it is set up correctly. This is why I suspect that cheap tuners on this guitar may be the culprit.
