I've played steel string acoustic for a few years and had become interested in playing flamenco or classical types of music. This guitar is a good buy for the $. I tested a few that sounded better, but they were also several hundred dollars more. The tuners are a little loose, but not so bad that its out of tune all the time. There's some fret buzz, but again, its negligible. All in all, its not really something you'd use in a concert setting, but a great inexpensive piece to learn on. I'm extremely pleased, and recommend it to anyone just starting out on the classical.

I've been a big Washburn fan for a long time. Now I know this isn't a high end piece, but this thing is just total junk. The tuners are horrible, loose as can be. The guitar won't stay in tune for anything in the world. This thing reminds me of one of those cheap plastic kiddie guitars your parents used to buy you as a kid.All I can say is I am surprised at the very poor quality of this guitar. I've had it for two hours now and I've already put it in the RMA request.

Awesome sound for a great price...

Comments about Washburn C40 Cadiz Classical Guitar:

I upgraded to this guitar after giving my Yamaha CS40II to my son who lost his acoustic in a fire... The first thing I noticed was the beautiful finish. The next was the width of the finger board. I hated it for the first few hours until I got used to it... Now when I pick up my other guitars they feel tiny... This instrument has a gorgeous rich tone... I couldn't set it down for three days... I find the larger finger board actually makes it easier to play. It is solidly built...

An okay guitar

By Dennis Teti

from USA

Comments about Washburn C40 Cadiz Classical Guitar:

This is my second Washburn. Everything about the guitar seems okay except there is no name on the head stock on my copy, weird. So if you buy one, don't be surprised if you don't exactly get what is picture. It does have a Washburn sticker inside the guitar and it came in a Washburn box AND I can read the serial number...so I'm assuming it actually is a Washburn guitar! It's relatively worth the money and is an okay guitar to work with. Right out of the box I only had to tune it a bit and it sounded fine. The strings that came with mine aren't too bad considering the adage of guitars always coming with poor strings/set up. Only complaint is the oddity of the headstock.

Great Instrument

By Mr. R.

from Toledo, OH

Comments about Washburn C40 Cadiz Classical Guitar:

Pick one up, play it for a while, and fall in love with it just like I did.
You can't beat it for the price!
A bit sloppy here and there but it didn't effect the playing nor the sound.
Even if it were $200 more, it would be worth it!
