The Grand Auditorium body shape is smaller at the waist than a dreadnought and, with the combination of the cedar top, offers a rich balanced tone that suits solo and finger style playing.
The cedar top resonates midrange frequencies well and is perfect for accompanying the human voice. In addition, cedar tops have the advantage of breaking in faster than spruce tops, so you won't have to wait as long for the guitar's tone to fully open up.
The "C" shape neck of the Washburn WG016S is comfortable and even feels good if you're used to an electric guitar. Other quality touches include a wood rosette, wood binding, engraved "W" on the neck heel, sealed precision tuners, and "Washburn" inlayed in wood on the headstock.
