Overview

The Warwick RockBass Corvette Basic Bass Guitar is beautifully made and delivers plenty of that characteristic low growl for which Warwick basses are famous. As with all Warwick basses, the RockBass Corvette is crafted from premium tonewoods throughout: an alder body and a maple neck with ekanga veneer and a rosewood fingerboard.

Passive MEC JJ pickups and 4 control knobs provide great tone and flexible control in the studio and on stage. The highly sensitive dynamic response of the Warwick RockBass Corvette Basic lets you articulate the most gentle of nuances or slap the bass for crisp, fat basslines.

Rockin Rockbass!

Comments about Warwick Rockbass Corvette Basic 4-String Electric Bass Guitar:

I was looking for a step up to an intermediate level bass when I stumbled upon this beauty in my local GC. I was originally torn between the Sterling by MusicMan series and a MIM Fender and had decided to go back to GC to try them. I never got either one of them. Light weight, lows that shake the house, highs that could make bluebirds weep in joy, and an affordable price make this a bass you just can't pass up.

Comments about Warwick Rockbass Corvette Basic 4-String Electric Bass Guitar:

i went into my locan CG with a friend who is working his way into the world of bass guitar. we were actualy going to get an ibanez due to his price range. we had recently played one that we liked but when we went back it was gone. dude to his price range, we were about to leave when our friendly CG rep pointed out this warwick, and it was on sale!!! fit right into the $$$ we needed. and it is twice if not more bass thanthe ibanez is. perfect deal, is what i would call it. i am a big fan of warwick basses. just cant afford the ones i like at this time. this is a companie that DOES BASS!! where as schecter and ibanez started with guitars. for a begginer to intermediate bass, this one rocks! the tone is smooth, the highs are crisp, and the lows are clean. espacially for the price, this bass screams... look at me... im a BASS!!! highly recomend it!

Best Bass I've Ever Owned!

By Paul Karnafel

Comments about Warwick Rockbass Corvette Basic 4-String Electric Bass Guitar:

I bought this bass because of all the positive reviews I read and have not been disappointed! I'm amazed at the continual comments I get from others about it's great sound and tone. I mean, it compares to basses going for much more money. I just plug it into an amp, adjust the balance and tone knobs to the middle, and away I go. The positive comments just keep coming. Thanks, Warwick, for making a bass of this quality in my price range!

Great bass at a great price!

Comments about Warwick Rockbass Corvette Basic 4-String Electric Bass Guitar:

I have always like the Warwick Basses, but previously couldn?t afford one. Last summer I came across a Nirvana Black Warwick Rock Bass Corvette Basic Passive 4-String at my local GC. I decided to give it a try, and fell in love with it (was skeptical at first about the Rockbass line). The action was a bit too high for my taste but figured that I can lower the string height with a hex wrench. I didn?t care too much for the stock strings as they were rather dull sounding. Before I made my final decision, I also tried out the Ibanez SR300 and SR500 series, but decided to go with Warwick. With the pickup blend knob, I was able to achieve a wide spectrum from; a Jazz bass, to a fat P-Bass tone and a few other variations in-between. The neck was more to my liking (frets and adjustable nut) than Ibanez. The Warwick seemed to have a slightly narrow neck than the Ibanez, IMO which also tickled my fancy. Don?t get me wrong I have been an Ibanez player since 1990 and like their gear. I play rock, country, jazz, funk, and fusion and this bass handles it all and sounds great in the studio. After a few days, I put on a set of Elixir Nanoweb strings (0.45-.100 gauge) which brought the tone to life (it growls). I have always dug the necks without the fret markers; this bass is replacing my Kubicki EX Factor (#440) I sold a few years ago.
