When I changed the strings on my Warwick Corvette I used the set of EMP Coated strings that came with my guitar. I was and still am amazed at the sustain these strings provide. They look and feel like regular strings, but they perform like no other strings I've ever played with. I have played bass for 44 years and I can tell you with confidence that I'll never use any other strings than the Warwick EMP's.
I used a pair of these sets back and forth for about two years. Each week I would clean one set in a denatured alcohol bath, then swap it out with the other set. Back and forth like this I had pristine tone for about two years until the strings began to break. And when they did I got two more sets. This is the first time I started doing the alcohol bath tho, so tough to say if these strings are better than others - it's what came on the Warwick I bought so I just stuck with 'em. You can go online BTW and get instructions to use some PVC pipe to easily make that denatured alcohol bath. Believe me - once you do it you will shake your head at how much you used to spend on strings - and you'll have that fresh string sound all the time!
