The Finest workingman's bass around.

By obiwan

Comments about Warwick Corvette $ Double Buck 4-String Bass:

I have had mine for about two years now, and what can I say? I had a Stingray and a Marcus Miller and they are both long gone. There is something magical about this instrument for me, and I find myself doing impossible stuff because I am inspired by this bass. Not too complex, just the right combination of the right woods and right electronics. Very good construction. This is the instrument I reach for when I have real work to do. Mine is natural swamp ash, hence its nickname, "Blondie". Sounds incredible used with SWR amps and Rotosound RS-99's. Because of this instrument, I also got an FNA 5 string and a 4 string Corvette fretless with EMG's.

The best overall bass available

By sacbass

from Sacramento, CA

Comments about Warwick Corvette $ Double Buck 4-String Bass:

This is the best bass I've ever played. If you're looking for a bass that's light-weight, has many tone options, and is just fun to play... this is it. The one thing that might turn some players away is the thickness of the neck, like all Warwick basses. The biggest drawback is the satin oil finish... if you sweat when you play you'll see what I mean. But, now I won't paly anything else...

By Tbranella

Comments about Warwick Corvette $ Double Buck 4-String Bass:

I traded my 2 year old Corvette Pro-Line, w/ active pickups, in on the Corvette $$, I'm very impressed with the sound of the double buck, it's fuller and deeper than my Pro-Line was, it practally plays itself, and sounds AMAZING with the humbucking pickups and active preamp! very versatile bass!

The Reviews are Right...

By T-rav82

from Nashville, TN

Comments about Warwick Corvette $ Double Buck 4-String Bass:

Hands down, this bass sounds absolutely great. The double buck creates an oveall warm tone that is very tight (even with low end). We drop down to C# and occasionally drop B and this bass still sounds great. My main concern while I was looking for a new bass was reducing "fret buzz" when tuning down. The bridge actually can be raised or lowered in order to reduce the "buzz". Overall, this bass has more than surpassed my expectations. I highly recommend it.

What an amazing sounding bass!

By Mozzer

from San Diego, CA

Comments about Warwick Corvette $ Double Buck 4-String Bass:

I got this bass at guitar center after having played with it at the store for about two weeks. I instantly fell in love with its sound. This is truly the type of quality bass sound that you hear in recordings. It's sucha warm, sustained sound that when you hear it, you fall for it. I have a custom made ernie ball dual humbucker too and I still play this bass more often. Also, it is SUPER LIGHT. It wont stress your back out when playing it. This is an instant winner in my book

Very Versatile!

By Samitch04

Comments about Warwick Corvette $ Double Buck 4-String Bass:

i have owned it for a while now. This is an amazing bass. very well built and customizable. the bridge can be set to a perfect position for anyone. The two three way switches allow you to use many sounds like Humbucker and single coil or single coil single coil. while the pan and active eq allow you to dial in a perfect tone for any style. overall great bass. i did however have to lower the pickups quite a bit. very powerful. i would recommend for anyone.

best bass I've ever played

By joeskeys

from New York NY

Comments about Warwick Corvette $ Double Buck 4-String Bass:

This is the best bass I've ever played. All the Corvettes sound good, but the double buck pickups and and the active electronics of this one make all the difference. Boosting the low end gives you massive punch and a natural-sounding growl that something like, say, the Fender American Jazz can't quite replicate. The neck is fast-action and very easy to play. The look of the bass is also pretty sweet. I agonized for several days over whether to get this or the Musicman Stingray, the only other bass in its price range that I played that compared. Ultimately, I went with the Warwick because of its grittier, more natural and woody-sounding tone, and because it was more versatile. The combination of the tone knobs and the pickup selector knob that lets you blend the two pickups gives the Warwick a very versatile sound. With the Stingray, I only found one pickup selector setting I loved, but I LOVED it. I won't recommend one over the other, they're both great and you can't go wrong with either one. But if you get a Corvette, get the Double Buck for sure. It's worth every penny.

The Best of the Best

By Andrew

from Phoenix, Arizona

Comments about Warwick Corvette $ Double Buck 4-String Bass:

I simply cannot believe how amazing this bass is. First of all, it feels amazing. The neck is very easy to play on, and it is just the right size. The bass is also pretty light, unlike the Corvette Standard. Secondly, the sound is great. This bass surpassed everything else in it's class by far. On top of the bass sounding great, it is very versatile. Anything you think of, this bass can handle. If you are seriously interested in this bass, don't hesitate and buy it now.
