The distinctive body design is a favorite of players worldwide and the Thumb Bolt-on has many features that separate it from its peers. The ovangkol wood body is both beautiful and harmonically resonant. Its MEC active pickups and electronics give you the broadest range of tones and textures. 3-piece ovangkol bolt-on neck with wenge fingerboard. Black hardware. Includes gig bag.
I've had this bass for probably 5 years and I still love it. It looks the same as it did when I bought it, of course I polish it and take good care of it. It sounds great and feels great. It has a TON of options as far as setting it up. Between individual sadles that move in two directions, you can raise or lower the nut, truss rod, and string selection, you can make this bass feel like anything you want, very versatile. The wood is very different on every single one they make, so I would try to get one in a store so you can pick it out yourself; they are all beautiful, just a personal choice you know. I don't think I'll sell this base as long as I live.

I would give the tone of this bass 5 stars because it has wonderful strong punch and it has a great 'growl'. It does have a neck dive and the bass is heavy but the sound is great.l

I have owned this bass for four years. 5-string. This is a fine instrument. Workmanship is excellent. One of my favorites. Has a great feel. Before you buy, you need to play a Warwick to hear the distinctive tone. Its not a "one size fits all" vanilla bass like a P-Bass. But it growls, and I really like it. Also, the range of tones is not as wide as some basses. It does have active/passive modes which has proven very useful to me. Great sustain. I saw the comment re neck dive -I've had no issue with that. Neck dive is largely a function of the angle at which you hold the bass. Has not been a problem for me. Another good reason to try before you buy. One knock - comes with only a gig bag. Its the best gig bag I've seen, but still... I added a hardshell TKL case, which can be ordered from the factory. Been playing bass & guitar for >30 years. I've owned >20 guitars including pro lines.

Bass is solid, well built. The neck is great and the sound is good, but it is almost useless to play with on a strap. It has horrible neck dive. You have to hold it up. I prefer the Corvette series based on the neck dive.
