Comments about Warehouse Guitar Speakers Reaper 55Hz 12" 30W British Invasion Guitar Speaker:

First off, pulling a WGS speaker out of the box, the fit and finish on them is great.

Initially I was going to go Celestion but once I looked at the sound clips on WGS and comparisons on youtube, I felt WGS speakers sounded fuller and smoother. I was not disappointed! Save the $$ and go WGS over other brands.

I replaced the stock speaker in a Line 6 Spider 30Watt and am blown away by the difference. This is what Line 6 should be shipping these things with. Now I can actually achieve the tones I want to hear and match recordings. It provides the depth and warmth for good bluesy tone and upping the gain isn't just muffled sludge.

I've also plugged this speaker into a Hughes and Kettner Tubemeister 36 and am very happy with that too.

In the process of building a 2x12 where this will be paired with a WGS Blackhawk Alnico 50W.

Slow like honey, heavy with mood

Comments about Warehouse Guitar Speakers Reaper 55Hz 12" 30W British Invasion Guitar Speaker:

I was looking for something to pair with my WGS Green Beret to fill out some of the low end in my EL84 based amp. Whilst I had tightened up the lows significantly with the Green Beret, now it was time to add some thump in my 2x12 cabinet. I had considered the beefed up magnet of the Invader 50, however, I wasn't convinced that it would make a significant change in the amount of thump - enter the Reaper 55hz. Solo, this has a very warm and syrupy sound that would be perfect for an amp that needs some taming - When paired with my tweed 1x12 combo, it brought out the smoothest, darkest, smokiest blues sounds I've ever heard. It's like drinking honey bourbon, straight. The highs, though they are more subdued than my Green Beret, are still very usable on their own. Your lows are tight and deep, without being overbearing. It was exactly what my Green Beret needed, and the result is that I have a very warm, smooth, slightly scooped midrange cabinet with gigantic 3 dimensional low end thump that is in no way flabby, farty, thoopy, or confusing. The low end isn't masking the other frequencies; it's deep, clean, and full. The Reaper 55HZ is the perfect counterpart for my WGS Green Beret.
