Comments about Warehouse Guitar Speakers G10C/S 10" 75W American Vintage Guitar Speaker:

I used this speaker with a five string electric violin run into Hughes & Kettner 5 watt amp with a 1x10 speaker. I replaced the stock speaker with the WGS G10c/s. It rounds off the highs just enough to tame that ice pick tone on the high notes. The results were better then I'd hoped, creamy tone that still articulates every nuance. Not muddy at all. Clean tone or distorted this is the best speaker I've used. I per chased this speaker just to improve the tone but it brings up the volume of my 5 watt amp to the point I'll use it at small clubs. I recomend this speaker for anyone looking to tame an over brite amp (harmonica player take note too)!

Great Speaker for my Fender Super Champ XD!!!

Comments about Warehouse Guitar Speakers G10C/S 10" 75W American Vintage Guitar Speaker:

To start, my Electric Guitar is a Modified 1994 Yamaha 712 Pacifica in an HSH (from HSS) configuration with Seymour Duncans (Neck-Alnico HB/Center-Strat Cool-Rails HB/Bridge-Jeff Beck HB)and a push-pull tone control for split and mixed coils. I use a Line 6 M13 Pedal-Board via Channel One of the Super Champ XD and seldom use the Amp modeling channel or effects. So now to the Speaker! I replaced the stock 10-inch Fender "Special Design" Speaker (FSD) in my SC-XD with this WGS G10C/S after speaking with a Rep at Warehouse Speakers and taking into account my Budget. A lot of what I play has a Jazz "Tinge" to it and I needed better Bass Response than what the Stock Fender was providing and the Warehouse Rep suggested I give this speaker a try. He said that the Bass Response would be much better than the FSD and the SMOOTH CONE of the WGS G10/S would round off some of the edginess. Having played 3-4 hours with the WGS G10C/S installed, I must say that I am quite impressed. The WGS G10C/S seems to be more efficient thus the amp's 15 Watts of Tube Power sounds a bit louder at same volume level used with the FSD and at higher volumes, this amp gets LOUD! The WGS G10C/S did round off the highs a tad so I had to increase the amp's Treble just a bit, for my "taste", but not much and IMO, all 11 P/U variations sound outstanding. As an FYI, the WGS 10GC/S is substantially deeper (and heavier!)than the FSD so to avoid the speaker magnet hitting the Metal Tube Guard attached to the XD's upper back panel , I installed small rubber washers between amp case and back panel when screwing the panel back into the amp cabinet. That upper panel sticks out a tiny bit but it's in the back so no one sees it!

    Excellent upgrade or replacement speaker

    By Erich von Boeselager

Comments about Warehouse Guitar Speakers G10C/S 10" 75W American Vintage Guitar Speaker:

Good speakers are critical for tone. I live in an apartment, so I want nice tones without ticking off the neighbors. I purchased this speaker as an inexpensive upgrade for a Peavey Envoy, hoping it would take my practice amp tone up a few notches. Out of the box the speaker appeared to be of a higher quality construction than the stock speaker (Blue Marvel), and other upgrades/replacements I have used in amps the past (Eminence and Jensen). The speaker did have a break-in period of about 2-3 hours. Before it broke in some there wasn't much of a noticeable difference between this speaker and the stock speaker. After the break in period the speaker gave the amp a far better tone. The speaker started to break up at higher volumes, had a wider range in tone, more dynamics and made the ?TransTube? solid-state amp sound even more natural (I prefer pure tube tones). It definitely cut some high end and boosted the lows, which is nice in a 10? when you are used to 12? speakers. I use a wide variety of effects pedals and they all sound wonderful with this speaker. As far as looks, the orange paint job looks awesome in the open back cabinet! I am very pleased with this speaker and will buy other Warehouse brand speakers in the future. This is an excellent buy for the money.
