Overview

Since the early '60s, Marshall Amplifiers have lead the way in rock tones with its legendary tight overdrive and coveted bass response. Early rock legends such as: Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Cream, and AC/DC helped lead the way in creating some of the most iconic rock tones ever produced and catapulted Marshall into rock legendary status.

The Plexi-Drive Deluxe is a direct descendent of the Plexi-Drive Standard but with a few upgraded features. Like the original, the Plexi-Drive Deluxe unique gain structure can take you from bluesy style 18-watt Marshall tones to the all out massive rock tones of a JTM-45 cranked to ten, or even eleven.

With the addition of an all-new active 3-band Bass/Mids/Treble EQ stack “ you can now have even more tonal control. With the bass boost option, you can emulate the feeling of the low-end thump of a 4x12" cabinet (or two) at the flick of a switch. The bass boost will allow you to dial in your low end at lower volume gigs or at bedroom volume levels. Along with the bass switch, there's a bright switch to add highs - which makes changing from bright to dark guitars a breeze. The Plexi-Drive Deluxe also features a one knob, pre-gain boost soft click switch that is voiced like that "famous overdrive with pronounced mids" - to help push your leads in to overdrive.

To this day, the original Plexi-Drive is still one Brian' favorite pedals and never left his personal pedal board. For a man who is said to be never satisfied with his tone, the Plexi-Drive has stayed with him throughout and is still inspiring him gig after gig, the Deluxe is taking on that tradition and running with it.

The Plexi-Drive Deluxe will fill your Marshall void and give you the crunch, response, boost and feeling that your rig begs for. Whether you are playing sold out shows or rocking out by yourself “ the Plexi-Drive Deluxe will take your tone and allow you to create your own flavor of rock! Your search for the perfect M.I.A.B. (Marshall in a Box) can finally be over.

Comments about Wampler Plexi-Drive Deluxe British Overdrive Guitar Effects Pedal:

This is my favorite drive pedal. I've been searching for the perfect drive pedal for years and this is the one I landed on. It's thick and it cuts through easily. It can be chimey and crisp or dark and raunchy. ACDC old Metallica SRV Cream. It really does sound like a Marshall. And when you kick in the screamer it just cuts thru like a knife. This pedal is a lot of fun. There are no bad settings on this thing. It really is worth the money. You can buy 3 different Marshall stacks or you could buy this.

Comments about Wampler Plexi-Drive Deluxe British Overdrive Guitar Effects Pedal:

I bought this pedal to help add gain and brighten up my Vox AC 30. It adds a great Marshall tone. What I was looking for. An awesome pedal. I would recommend spending the extra $40 for the this over the standard Wampler Plexi-Drive. The 3 band EQ is very nice to have. Sounds good with both my single coil and humbucker guitars. As a side note; it pairs really well with my MXR Phase 90.

Comments about Wampler Plexi-Drive Deluxe British Overdrive Guitar Effects Pedal:

With the active EQ and the combination of the tube screamer circuit (pregain) and the Plexi drive (postgain) this pedal does everything. It does Cream, Hendrix, Zeplin, Brian May, Nirvana, Weeder, Green Day, White Stripes. Some have mentioned that the pedal takes up a lot of space on the board. But in reality it's less than the size of two pedals but gives you the functionality of about 4 pedals. So I don't mind the size at all. Switches are nice and smooth too.

Fantastic Overdrive, best I've owned in 25 years.

Comments about Wampler Plexi-Drive Deluxe British Overdrive Guitar Effects Pedal:

While this pedal is a bit pricy I think it's totally worth it. I play out of a mesa F50 combo and I'm getting the tones I was searching for. Playing through the clean channel with The Plexi-drive Deluxe with my Strat with Texas Specials and fat 50's I get sounds close to SRV, Hendrix (sounds fantastic with my tremo-vibe), and even some Albert King tones. I was using a Maxon overdrive previously and this thing blows it away. Also like it way more than my Tube Screamer. You can't go wrong with Wampler. Definitely my favorite drive pedal Ive tried in my 25 years of playing.
