Voyage-Air the Ultimate Travel Guitar!

By jeff milkey

from Mesa, AZ

I have been playing music all my life and playing acoustic guitar the whole time. I have played them all and understand the difference between a real guitar and what some companies try to pass off as guitars. The concept of travel guitars has been around forever and lots of attempts at filling this niche. Its a tough one filled with compromise. Voyage-Air did it. But....not only did they solve the age old challenge of creating a guitar you can travel with (On a Plane) but they created an "Instrument" that sounds amazing. It is clear this company took the time to not only solve the travel issue, they made certain to develop a guitar that sounds great. I installed a DTAR (Duncan|Turner) Multi-Source system and electric this guitar completely rocks. The OM voicing sits in the mix like its part of the original recording. All I can say is this product is a home run and I would recommend it to any professional musician. Even when I am playing at my home studio I find myself sharing time with my Martins and other guitars and the Voyage-Air. Thanks to Voyage-Air for all the creative energy and the heart and soul you put into this product. Amazing ********** -Moon Dog-

Very Satisfied Customer

By Neal Stone

from Naples, Florida

This is my forth guitar and has quickly become a favorite. I am an airline pilot so I travel quite a lot every month and enjoy playing on my layovers. I had a Baby Taylor and it was just okay because I missed the feel, tone and comfort of a regular size guitar. I have taken it on a couple trips and it is so much easier to handle as a third bag because it is very light and carries nicely. My VAOM-04 (black) is well made and came out of the box in beautiful condition. I quickly tuned it up and was playing in less than 3 minutes. There is nothing "tinny" sounding about this guitar and nothing "tinny " about the construction either... My friend who plays professionally was skeptical until he saw and played mine...I just learned today that he just ordered one for himself as he is tired of carrying his full size expensive guitars on the airlines. He, like me, is really in to the fit and finish, sound, ease of use and portability of this beautiful musical instrument. Hope my words help to ease your doubts... Neal

Little guitar - Big sound!

By Catherine Pilutti

from Toronto, canada

I go to Florida for 2 months every year and suffer without my Taylor 814 ce. I was too afraid it would get wrecked in airline baggage. So, when i got to Florida this year i ordered a voyage air vaom 04. I picked it up at the guitar center - the mgr couldn't find it at first because it was it a square box - you wouldn't believe a guitar would be in that box! When i got home and tried it i couldn't believe the big sound from this guitar. Finger-picking is easy and the sound really resonates. It is fun to play and i could be happy with just this guitar for most acoustic playing. I will be flying home and taking this guitar in its compact backpack case as carry-on luggage where it will easily fit. It is really light to carry! I had tried other travel guitars but they were undersized for playing, but still too big to carry on a plane. If you want a guitar for airline or other travel - this is a no brainer - get a voyage air.

An amazing instrument for the price

By Tony

from Sussex, UK

I ordered this model from the UK via 51 and was amazed at the speed of delivery, the VAOM-04 model is not currently available in the UK, only the more expensive VAOM-06 (50% more), as far as I can tell the only difference is the gloss finish and I have heard that they use a better quality spruce for the top of the VAOM-06, this may not be important for a travel guitar. The guitar itself is great, flawless finish, excellent projection and a fairly bright sound, I like to play folk and blues, it is perfect for this, very easy to unfold, tune and put away again, highly recommended.
