Marrying the tube tone that made Vox famous with breakthrough digital modeling technology from Korg results in a completely new kind of modeling amp that actually changes itself to model each and every power amp on its list. And what a list! Vox, Fender, Marshall, Boogie, and more. Built-in pedal effects and digital ambient effects. 2 - 12" neodymium NeoDog speakers combined with a closed-back cab produce pounding punch with crystalline clarity.

This is a digital modeling amplifier featuring: 16 models of classic Fender, Vox, Marshall, Boogie, Soldano, and Dumble preamps and speaker cabinets; a stereo power section, adjustable between 2, 30, 60, and 120 watts, 18 effects (up to five available at once); 32 programmable patches; closed back birch plywood cabinet; and two ultra efficient 12? Celestion ?Neo-Dog?, speakers with lightweight neodymium magnets. I have played every available modeling amp. Valvetronix is hands down the best for capturing the dynamic range, response, and feel of an all valve amp, thanks to a unique power amp circuit designed by Roger Mayer. Utilizing two 12AX7 tubes, it produces a 2 watt all-tube signal that can be transparently amplified via a solid state circuit. Also, unlike the competition, the presence circuit re-produces the sparkly high-end characteristics of a true negative feedback loop The versatile amp models cover all genres and go from glassy Fender to Vox jangle, from creamy blues to Brit crunch, from high-gain distortion to Metal. My brother gigs regularly through a Valvetonix in a Rock cover band. He uses the 30 Watt power setting exclusively, yet has no trouble cutting through the mix.
