Among the various VOX tube amps, the AC4 has remained one of the most popular over the years, as they provide a simple and hassle-free way to enjoy the rich sound of a tube-driven amp. While previous models were equipped with a 10" speaker, this limited edition tan model features a 12" Celestion speaker that delivers even more robust sound levels. With diamond grille cloth and basket-weave vinyl exterior, it also carries on the classic looks of the VOX tradition. This is a Class A tube amp that you can enjoy whether you're practicing at home, performing live or recording.
The AC30's Top Boost sound has fascinated guitarists around the world for over fifty years. Capable of massive crunch or the clean, classic "chime," this Top Boost tone is the essence of VOX's identity. The AC4 now delivers this unbeatable sound in a portable, compact body. Gain control, Bass and Treble tone controls, and a Master Volume allow any player to easily recreate this historic sound.

Comments about Vox Limited Edition AC4 4W 1x12 Tube Guitar Combo Amp Tan:
Really handsome hatbox here in the tan. Resembles aged creme actually, giving it a closet classic look. Could benefit from an open back. Really organic gain tones but it won't get you metal. At least not without a pedal and possible speaker change. Absolutely a secret weapon for country picking with single coil guitars. Gets a little fat and wooly with 'buckers, which might suit others more than me. A little lacking in the bass department. A larger rating Op tranny will help, as will changing back panel out to a 'fender cab' open design. These mods still leave you a fair amount of money over it's nearest clone, Deliese. The 'c4' mod will suit most ears best, and won't cost anything!
Being single channel I find it works best as part of a low watt ' quasi - sterio' rig. The biggest 'con' of this amp becomes appearant. Whether to run this as the clean amp or the dirt amp! A good problem to have.
Overall the signature top bost chimney grit sounds quite boutique.
