Overview

Using an "old-school" split-panel design, the VOX AC15VR guitar amplifier from the Valve Reactor series offers two distinct channels-Normal and Overdrive-with the Overdrive channel adding a separate Gain knob. In addition, the overdrive Style button delivers two distinctive flavors.

In addition to the Master Volume and Master Reverb, both channels of the VOX AC15VR guitar amp (Normal and Overdrive) share the same Treble and Bass tone controls. The amplifier's Overdrive channel features a Gain knob to add just the right amount of warmth and snarl to your sound. The 15W power amp feeds into a single 12" custom-designed Celestion speaker for attention-grabbing tone.

The VOX AC15VR's back panel features an external speaker jack for use with an 8-Ohm extension cabinet. Using an extension cabinet will mute the internal speaker.

This is a very solid amp. Very loud and very clear. I have been playing for 15 years and this is the best bang for my buck i have had in a long time. I am a fan of marshall and mesa boogie. If you cannot afford a mesa, go with Vox. I rarely see people play them on stage and after i spent about a week jamming on this thing i am very confused on why. As always though, go to guitar center and play it before you buy though. Mess around with all of the settings and get a good feel for the amp. The AC30 is nice too but for my house this was great. You can also use it as a head for a cab. I tried this and it works pretty good, but if that is what you are looking for save your money for the real head and cab. The Vox 4x12 is really nice too!

Comments about Vox AC15VR Valve Reactor 1x12 Guitar Combo Amp:

I have read reviews complaining about this amp not being loud enough. The output is insane! I can rattle pictures and windows in the house when she gets going. The amp is built beautifully. It is easy to transport and works well for just about anything you want to do. The sound is classic, clear and when you bring up that volume you can get the great break up sound. I am a very hard person to please and this amp has pleased me to no end. My only off comment on this amp is that the reverb feature is non-existent. Pedals work well with the amp and you can shape just about any sound that you want. You will not be disappointed!

Comments about Vox AC15VR Valve Reactor 1x12 Guitar Combo Amp:

I picked up my ac15vr used and I'm absolutely in love with it! The only issue is the digital reverb is awful and pretty much non exsistent.

Comments about Vox AC15VR Valve Reactor 1x12 Guitar Combo Amp:

I've owned and played a lot of amps, from Marshall, Mesa, Fender, Ampeg, Line 6, etc. There isn't a better valued amp on the market than this one. Hard to tell from a hand-wired AC15 when the right settings are dialed in, lots of sound for jamming or small performances, beautiful tone and the addition of a modern high-gain sound option make it flexible enough for most jobs. It sounds good enough for experienced guitarists, it's priced low enough to be accessible to beginners and the quality it excellent. I can't say enough good things about it.

Comments about Vox AC15VR Valve Reactor 1x12 Guitar Combo Amp:

As a guitar player that learned electric on run of the mill solid state amps, switching over to a tube pre-amped setup was the best choice I've made yet. It has consistent warmth, but can be dimed with the push of a button. The amp is an older model, but it feels brand new.

I like this amp a lot. By tweaking the settings I can get a nice warm sound or gravelly overdrive. Plenty of volume if you want it.

Comments about Vox AC15VR Valve Reactor 1x12 Guitar Combo Amp:

First things first I have to say, wow, this amp is a beauty, especially for the price. I previously had a marshall half stack tube amp, but as an active musician it just wasn't practically to lug around, so I started looking for a new more portable amp I could take to performances. This amp was everything I was looking for and more. Classic Vox tone and very pedal friendly, it has a wonderful bright tone that is perfect for lead work or really any playing. My only complaints are that the amp pops when initially turned on(Which really isn't that big of a deal) and that the reverb is basically non existent. Vox would have been best dropping the price and doing away with that feature. But overall if you are looking for a nice portable classic Vox tone for a reasonable price I highly believe this is the amp for you, no matter skill or experience level
