High-quality modeling meets the acclaimed VOX Valve Reactor tube technology in this 100W 2x12.

The Vox Valvetronix VT100 is a 100W combo amp that gives you 22 amp models ranging from the latest high-gain types to hard-to-find boutique and vintage amplifiers. The Vox VT100 also boasts a full complement of effects, allowing it to cover the needs of a wide variety of styles and performance techniques. The Valvetronix amp also includes 66 preset programs, including 22 song programs that simulate the guitar sounds of famous guitarists. Now even beginners can start enjoying serious guitar sound right away.

The VOX Valve Reactor circuit is the key factor that separates the Valvetronix amplifiers from other modeling amps. The 100% analog original power amp circuit actually has the same power amp circuit as a full-tube amp, using a 12AX7 miniature triode to reproduce a distinctive tube amp sound unattainable by digital technology. In other words, it replicates aspects that have an important influence on the sound of a tube amp, such as the power amp's class A/AB operation and the interaction of the power stage with the speaker. You get not only the response of the original amp's power amp circuitry, but also the power amp's distortion as well as the nuances and subjective sound pressure of a full-tube amp.

With our Guaranteed Lowest Price, you can be assured of complete satisfaction and the lowest available price, or your money back!

  • Absolutely Amazing Amp!

As reviewed by K on 11/3/2009

I have owned many guitar amps over the years including Marshall Stacks (JVM, TSL Series), Vox Ac-30, Fender Twins including two 1972 models and others. The thing that has always been a problem is the twin sounds great for blues/country but has too much mid range for metal/rock. Marshall amps are wonderful for rock but the buck stops there. I found myself hauling a half stack and two twins around in order to accomplish the sound I was looking for. Then, I played the Vox VT amps and fell in love. I purchased two of the 50 watt versions and was unhappy with the low end, so I purchased two of the 100 watt amps. The 100 watt has got balls and truly is like owning all of these great amps, cause I did owe many of them. The amp can produce virtually any sound you want outside of the 22 amps built in. You can arrange the amp any way you like, bypassing all effects and models if needed. Bottom line... Buy the amp,

  • The Best Modeling Amp. Period.

As reviewed by StratPete on 12/21/2009

I have owned many amps over the years, and now that I am actively gigging in a classic rock cover band again, the quest for great on-stage tone has become more intense. After using many Peavey, Marshall, Fender, and Line 6 amps on stage, I was getting frustrated by my difficulty getting killer Fender Tweed, Marshall, and High-Gain tones out of the same rig in a live situation. The closest I got was with the Spider Valve 212, which sounded pretty good, but ultimately I found that I couldn't dial out the "digital hash" in the high end, which was too harsh to be inspiring. On a whim, I decided to try the Vox VT100. After taking some time to try different amp models and EQ/gain settings, I came up with a package of 8 user presets that I have now gigged with twice. All I can say is, I've finally achieved the inspiring on-stage tone I have been seeking for such a long time, across the board, from Fenders to Marshalls. This amp sounds great with both my Strat and my Les Paul, from southern rock to Led Zeppelin and even progressive hard rock. Been playing for 30 years, and this is hands down the best amp I've ever owned (modeling or non-modeling)! The effects are limited but sound great, especially the chorus. I also use a good delay pedal in the effects loop for more flexibility. I also use my Sparkle Drive with the Strat to add a little more dirt to the solos when using the Tweed patch. To my ears, the amp models on the VT100 are much more natural and musical sounding than those on the SV 212. The two speakers are great, and the amp really pushes air with authority. The low end is dynamic and punchy, and the high end is detailed and articulate, with some decent sparkle, which is interesting considering there is no presence control on the VT series. The variable power knob in the back is brilliant, allowing great tones at any volume (and this really works, it's not just a gimmick). The VT100 has plenty of volume on tap, but the amp cuts through in a band situation very well without needing excessive volume. To me this is one of the hallmarks of a good amp. The VT100 is just an extremely musical sounding amp. That pretty much sums it up for me!

  • O My God!

As reviewed by RYPTYDE21 on 7/6/2010

Dude, this amp kicks! The presets are great, the effects are great, I am just overwhelmed by the functionality of this amp. I went from playing a Marshall MG30 to this hunk of musical mayhem and I am stunned! There are only two things that i don't like about this amp: 1) The weight, but you could expect tat from a 2X12 100 Watt monster. And 2) No bulti in Wah. I already have a Wah (Ibanez Weeping Demon) but I still would like to have an auto wah feature. I almose bought an MXR Blue Box a few months back, but now I'm glad I didn't Because this already has an Ocatve effect that blows the Blue Box away! Buy it NOW!
