  • Karaoke player

    I added this to my already existing DJ equipment to do karaoke once a month. I have only used it once but for about 4 hours. The button to open the tray is very stiff. I recommend using the supplied remote control to open and close the tray. It takes what seems like a lifetime to load a karaoke CD+G. If you have multiple singers, one after another, you will need a second machine to keep the flow going or play a song on a CD player while the next person is coming up to avoid "dead air". Another little annoyance is if you press the "display" button to see how much time is left on the song, it appears on the video screen where the lyrics are being sung. It appears on the front screen of the player also. The remote is great and easy to use. The sound quality from the player is very good. The only thing that prevents this from being a 5 star rating is the load time of the disk.

  • usb port a little slow to load

    I have to say that my review is similar to one already existing here in that the open and close tray button is a bit stiff. It's better to use the included remote rather than use the button on the machine. However, i didn't find it to be all that long of a load time for a cd+g disc. The Usb port really takes forever to load. I wouldn't recommend loading very large external drives larger than 8GB, as i found that i waited hours just to see if it would load my 1TB external drive..it wouldn't, and gave up. But for the price, it's good..it plays my dvds fine, plays the cd+g discs fine..key control is good..Since i have a mixer board, i prefer using the wireless mics and not plugging a mic directly to the 3/4 mic input on the unit itself. To keep music going at karoake gigs i have, i'm gonna be getting a second unit to avoid the loadtime issue. and it's cheap enough that i can afford to do that.
