The V2 Route 808 is one channel of Double Trouble in a single pedal. The Route 808 overdrive is Visual Sound's interpretation of the TS-808 with level knobs for Drive, Tone and Volume.The V2RT808 Overdrive Pedal features a die-cast aluminum housing, ultra-reliable 10-million cycle switching, easy battery access, circuit protection from AC adapters, and a wide and sturdy stomp switch. Bass boost can be switched on or off easily. 1/4" jacks in and out.

    Visual sound has really done a great job of creating a very affordable overdrive with such a great tone. This pedal is the overdrive side of the Route 66 overdrive/compression pedal and the Jeckyll Hyde pedal. It is absolutely transparent when off, not altering the tone of the guitar or adding any extra noise. The Route 808 offers a wide range of tones from a bluesy drive to a grungy rough overdrive that can deliver a real punch. It operates on either a 9V battery or a standard 9V power supply. I would recommend this pedal to anyone, it's a fantastic versatile investment.

    Great pedal. Great tone, really transparent when it's off, and no loss of sound quality between low gain and high gain settings. The bass boost switch is really handy and there are just so many different settings in this pedal. Can even be used as a clean boost with the drive knob all the way CCW. Highly recommended to everyone from blues guitarists to death metal shredders. The only thing that threw me off was that it took a little bit for the true tone to come through. My tone changed when I first used it, but as the pedal got broken in its true awesomeness came through. Works great as a boost before a distortion pedal.
