Product Information

A killer distortion and overdrive in one box.

The Visual Sound V2JH is two separate overdrive effects in one pedal, each with separate controls, and each with its own personality. They can be used separately or blended together. Jekyll accurately reproduces the sound of the original TS808 Tube Screamer, providing depth and smooth sustain. The Hyde part is a heavier extremely versatile overdrive with more bottom. Use the Jekyll & Hyde pedal's EQ to scoop out the midrange for a wide range of tones and a Sharp/Blunt switch to go from compressed to very bright. The sonic possibilities are endless.

The V2 Jekyll & Hyde pedal features redesigned noise reduction and improved mid control on the Hyde channel, plus additional low-drive range on the Jekyll channel. Besides that and the sweet new V2 housing, the V2JH stompbox delivers the same great overdrive and distortion tones that the Jekyll & Hyde pedal is famous for.I

From its first appearance in 1997, the Jekyll & Hyde was the first stompbox to combine two separate effects in one pedal. Now ten years later the V2 Series gives you the same great tone guitarists have come to love, plus an added noise reduction system, creating the ultimate guitar dream!

Each channel of the newly designed Jekyll & Hyde has separate controls, giving you the ability to use them singly, or together. The Jekyll Overdrive channel delivers more output volume than the original TS-808-far surpassing its predecessor. The Hyde side is more than just a turbo version of Jekyll. With heavier distortion and more bottom end, this crazy distortion pedal is extremely versatile!

From Visual Sounds V2 Series, the V2JH Jekyll & Hyde Overdrive and Distortion Multi Effects Pedal features a diecast aluminum housing, ultra-reliable 10 million cycle switching, easy battery access and circuit protection from AC adapters.

Crazy Good!!!

This pedal is awesome!!! I bought this pedal through a recomedation of a friend, and I do not regret getting it. It is by far the best overdrive and distortion pedal I have owned. The noise reduction circut on the distorition side of the pedal is great. With regular distorition pedals you get a bad hum when you turn it on, but with this pedal it does not make a sound until you hit the strings. I have recomended it to alot of musicians and they have all been satisfied.

More than I bargained for!

Got one of these pedals a while back, and I have been nothing but pleased with it. I bought it more for the distortion channel, after hearing someone play a J&H live. The distortion works great, lots of gain with extreme clarity, but what really surprised me was the overdrive channel. One day I was just messing around and turned the tone all the way up, and suddenly I was milking serious SRV tone, just out of one of my practice amps! I had heard that the channel was modeled after the old tubescreamers, apparantly they got it right and then some! The only gripe I have is the bottom end gets a little too loud when running both channels together, but only if you're not careful. Highly recommended.

Two Distortions, One True Sound

I saw one of my friends using this, and it sounded amazing. I don't like spending a lot of money on pedals so I took a chance in getting this. Wow, the overdrive channel on this is a great replica of the TS-808 and I use it for leads and it is very good for rhythm. This pedal's true sound comes when you stick both channels on. I'm a tone freak you could say, and this pedal definately has the best tone. I can't describe it's sound in a review, but what I can say is that you simply will not regret the sound. I've been using it for about a year now, and I don't plan on getting another distortion pedal any time soon. Side note: You can get a SRV sound when you stick both channels on as well.

Versatility at its best!

This pedal does it all. If you need a light overdrive, its got it. If you need screaming distortion, this is your pedal. The combination of the two gives you the boost that usually takes multiple pedals to acquire. This pedal was back ordered, and I can see why. I highly reccommend it to any guitar player.

Need some distortion?? look no further

This really IS the ultimate distortion/over drive box. The distortion side can give you a crunchy sound or a pretty good hard rock sound. The overdrive gives you just the extra boost you need. I just bought this stombox and i already love it. I gave it 4 stars because i do get some feedback with it but i can just eq that out.

ITS AWESOME

This thing is great...I have no regrets buying it at all, i love playing my guitar with this pedal, its the perfect thing for me. there is only one small setback though...which is easily fixed...its just that it runs through the batteries very fast, but all u have to do is buy the wall charger for it and your set!

JUST A HEADS UP!!

I played this pedal and fell in love with it. I bought it at GC and the service and people were great!! This pedal is an awesome overdrive pedal and adds alot to my rig! I owned it not even a month played 4 times live with it and then it just went out! The overdrive side of it went out!! It stayed in my SKB pedal board the whole time!! So if you do buy this get the warranty no questions.

Great sound, not so great quality

I purchased this pedal about a year ago and was very impressed with the many different tones you can get out of this pedal for just about any form of rock you would want to play. its also great for experimenting with blending the channels together. My only complaint about the pedal is the electronic quality. after i had mine for about a month the switches ( both the sharp/blunt and the bass boost/off) began getting screwy and would either not work, or at one point, i even had them switch functions on me. this has occured on and off since then, and now even the pedal buttons sometimes dont work. the pedal never leaves my room so i dont think its overworked. Other than that though i am very impressed with the tone of the pedal

Great Sounds and Value

This pedal is great. The overdrive side is full and rich and also acts as a great preamp when the drive is turned all the way down and the bass boost switch is on. The distortion is versatile and is not just a "turbo" version of the OD side. Because the bass knob is actually inside the pedal it is a little annoying to have to open up the pedal just to get to the bass knob, but it still sounds AMAZING! Both channels combined are really great for solos and huge tone. Overall: Amazing sounds for a great price.
