The Angry Fuzz is a totally original guitar stomp from Visual Sound that will blow away any other fuzz pedal you've ever tried. Although it has an octave circuit that can be blended in with the fuzz, it is not at all like the Octavia or other vintage pedals for that matter. You can set the Volume and Fuzz levels as well as turn the Bright switch on or off for your basic fuzz tone. Blend in the Octave circuit with the Anger Level knob and voila—the most incredible sound you've heard that tracks with every single note. On single notes it will give you one octave up. Play a two-note chord and you'll get the octave up plus some wild lower octave artifacts.
Blend in an octave up with the Anger Level knob and get crazy low octave overtones to boot! Octave tracking is flawless even with the fastest shredding imaginable. With Volume Level, Fuzz Level, and Anger Level knobs; wide and sturdy stomp button; 1/4" jacks in and out.
From the V2 Series, the V2AF Angry Fuzz Octave guitar effects pedal features a diecast aluminum housing, ultra-reliable 10 million cycle switching, easy battery access and circuit protection from AC adapters.

There are some classic fuzz sounds I have always tried for and never been able to achieve. One of them is the fuzz sound that Ron Asheton got on the first two Iggy and the Stooges albums. The other fuzz sound I've always wanted to nail is the sound that Jimmy Page got on the Yardbirds' "Little Games" album and tour and the first Led Zeppelin album.
This little monster nails both of them. For me that makes it worth much more than the asking price. I have been trying to get these fuzz sounds for YEARS.
There is no downside to this pedal. It is so easy to dial in your desired sound, and there are many more than the one I described. Hendrixy octave up? Yes indeed. Robin Trower, Ritchie Blackmore, and Tony Iommi noises? Yep, right here. I nailed the weird ring-modulated "Paranoid" solo tone after a few minutes of experimentation.
Switch is dead silent. The pedal is a big chunk of steel. Sonically it's transparent, much more so than any fuzz pedal I have owned. No signal loss.
I don't really want to make it a habit to give five star reviews, but this is one of the very few products that absolutely deserves it. This is my Holy Grail of fuzz pedals.
I normally dont like to mess with Fuzz pedals but this gives me the Distortion and Fuzz that I was looking for! Built like a tank and has (Besides great sound) a really nice look to it. Throw those lousy fuzz pedals out, this one will surely be a keeper!
I ordered this pedal after hearing it on some online videos, and I liked the octave fuzz combination. I figured it would give me a different sound to play with, as well as work great as an octavia substitute. When it arrived I was pleased with how sturdy the pedal itself is, and it feels like quality construction. The sound of this thing is incredible. You can really dial in just the slightest hint of fuzzy breakup, or completely wash out all nuances of individual notes with fuzz overload, and the bright switch helps clear up the muddiness of the lower notes if you saturate it with fuzz. It impressed me with how sensitive yet forgiving the fuzz control was. Then I played with the octave or "Anger" circuit. Like any octave, it generally sounds better for lead or individual notes, and if it's kept in the higher ranges above fret 7. You start chording with it and it gets crazy and some crazy lower octave levels come out. I'm sure there's a sound that works with that, but it's not mine. Blending the fuzz and octave together can produce a wide variety of sounds and responsiveness, and that part is fun to play with. So fun I haven't found a setting yet that is where I will leave it at all the time. You can get a ton of different sounds just from the mix. Also, if you start backing off the volume of your guitar a bit and tweaking the tone knobs, you'll get even more versatility and tonal response. It really is amazing how deep this effects pedal is. Great buy for the money.
