• Can't be beaten for the price

  For years I have been using processors, but felt the need to change to actual pedals, I didn't know where to start, because there is a lot of options out there. Being that I live in Michigan where the economy SUCKS, I had to becareful how much I spent so as to not inspire my wife to kill me. Not sure how exactly but the Visual Sound company came on my radar a few months back. Mostly when a facebook friend posted some videos he made of artist like Phil Keaggy, Kenny Olson (ex-Kid Rock), and some others using visual sound pedals. This pedal of course doesn't have all to offer like some pedals costing 200+, but this well worth trying out. For the price this can't be beaten. It easliy gives you a range from slapback echo, to some really crazy sounds. I love it!

• Don't waste your money

  There is a good reason why this pedal is so cheap: it will break after one month of respectably heavy use. I had two (the second one came free due to the waranty), and they both started squealing when engaged after a month. For the month that it works, it will be one of the best delay sounds you will ever get, but after that, it will be garbage.

• Excellent delay for the price, but no tap tempo

  Delay pedals have become overpriced, in my opinion, especially considering it's a relatively simple circuit. The core sound of a delay is hard to get wrong: it repeats your signal. That's it. Digital and analog delays both have their place, and this pedal sits more towards the digital side, even if it's a "hybrid" design. I purchased it as a cheap delay to leave at my practice studio, and it works perfectly for that purpose. Expect a standard, nice digital delay tone, with perhaps just a bit of analog warmth. Whatever, it sounds fine. The metal case is very sturdy, so you won't have to worry about babying it. HUGE caveat: no tap tempo! I use tap tempo a LOT with my other delay units, so I know how important that feature is. And, at this price, they should include a mod switch, which adds modulations to the repeats. But, they just kept it very basic.
