I just purchased these sticks last evening in preparation for my band's Friday night practice and I swear, I'm a Vic Firth person for life now! Most recently, I have been playing Zildjian "Dips" which have a good feel and are a pretty solid stick, but I have remained on the look-out for something different; something better. I wasn't even looking for new sticks last night, but I had some store credit and figured why not? I joked with my band mates and said they were going to make me play like Steve Gadd...Although they didn't and never will, I must say that these are the best sticks I have ever used, hands down! They have such an incredible balance to them and a feel incomparable to anything else I've tried. If you're searching for a new stick, please do yourself a favor and try these. I promise you will not be disappointed. Especially not with the price!

I went to get some vic firth american classic sticks and they were out so i decided to pick up the steve gadds. I had a few problems with them. They vibrate ALOT in your hands when you play. I think its because they are so light. Ive never had that problem with american classics or the zildjians i used to play with. Also they broke with in 3 days. I hit pretty hard but they should still last a little bit longer than 3 days. other than those two things they are great. love the barrel tips and i love the length and diamenter of the sticks also.

best jazz sticks for me

By Jonathon

from Kansas City, MO

These are the best sticks I've ever used for jazz. Currently, I'm working on traditional grip, and they seem to be working very well with me. They are light, and the barrel-tips get a good, not-too-bright tone out of the cymbals. I will definitely buy them again. Also, I detest nylon tips, and bought the wooden-tipped ones. So take that.

Great sticks

By Matt

from Walnut Creek, CA

These are thin and light but hold up better than 5a's and the like. I hit the drums hard and these can really take a beating. The barrel tip does give a clean, controlled sound, great for rolls.

Awesome Sticks!

By Schmitty

from Frankenmuth, MI

I highly recommend these sticks because they are great for my small hands. The black does tend to come off when you hit the shoulder of the stick on a cymbal really hard. They also make your hands a little sweaty. Other than that, I highly suggest you get them.

Buy Them while you can!

By Mike Oxsbig

from Atlanta, Georgia

These sticks are great! I have had these sticks for almost 4 months and they hold up great. The paintjob looks cool and they feel perfect. After going through complete torture from me and my friends, these sticks have only been left with one small chip in the tips. Great Sticks! Won't let you down!
