Vic Firth 5AN nylon tip

Nicely balance and comfortable. I don't tire playing with these sticks. No cramping-no fatigue. I recommend these. Good value, too. Just don't keep beating the cymbal sides too much.

Sticks are great but the red paint comes off the sticks easy takes a little more than Lava or Fast Orange to clean your hands. If you do buy the red ones make sure to rinse the paint off before using. I also bought black ones and those seem to be fine. Either the red paint wasn't cured properly or this is just something you have to expect for discounted drumsticks.

after two uses

By Jeremy

Comments about Vic Firth Nova Hickory Drumsticks:

I am a pretty hard player..but the last time I used them, I wasn't playing heavily and the stick in my left hand broke. 7 bucks wasted. do yourselves a favor and get a pair of sound percussion rock sticks...half the price and twice as durable.

choppin wood

Comments about Vic Firth Nova Hickory Drumsticks:

I picked up therse sticks because i needed alot of sticks really cheap and really fast. I use 5A and well the red stain stood out. I figured why not. Well they turned out to be fairly durable and are just a striking visual live. All in all this is the best deal for the price you can get on 5A hickory.

Ehhh.

By Tyler

from Oh

Comments about Vic Firth Nova Hickory Drumsticks:

When i first played with the sticks, i definitely noticed the quality that's made vic firth a big name in drum sticks. Light weight, comfortable, and seemingly durable. A couple things wrong were obviously they leave marks on your kit(which doesnt bother me considering its time for new heads), and also, after a couple weeks, the top portion of one of them broke off. Im not a super hard player, but apparently hard enough to break them. Overall though, decent sticks for beginners, and for the price.

Good Sticks, For a Good Price

By Eddie Diaz

from Los Angeles, Ca

Comments about Vic Firth Nova Hickory Drumsticks:

Everything about these sticks are excellent, however they are pretty thick and if you own an acoustic set you better stay away from the black sticks they do tend to lead more noticeable marks on your drum heads and cymbals. Other that take advantage of these great, low priced sticks today !

very good drum sticks.

By Alex

from Salina, KS

Comments about Vic Firth Nova Hickory Drumsticks:

I got mine about 2 weeks ago and I'm a rough drummer. So far these sticks have held up with good quality, nice weight, and few chips. I bought the red 5A and they are excellent sticks. I recommend.

Comments about Vic Firth Nova Hickory Drumsticks:

These sticks are very good. I have been getting these sticks for a while. The red ones r the coolest. I play and electric and an acoustic set and both of these work well with the sticks.

Good Sticks

By metalfan526

from Bronx,NY

Comments about Vic Firth Nova Hickory Drumsticks:

These sticks are really good. They look and feel great. The only down side is like all other black sticks, the paint of the sticks start to chip because of the hi-hat and other cymbals but it doesn't hurt the way they feel or sound. Overall great sticks!

Not good not bad

By Levi

from Missouri

Comments about Vic Firth Nova Hickory Drumsticks:

These sticks are a great value dont get me wrong. I bought a couple pairs of them to start off with but, that price adds up cause these sticks break rather easily. I play in a metalcore band and i play fairly hard, my first pair broke within the first month. They are good sticks very light and fast, just break a little to easy.
