This pad is pretty good. It is insanely durable, I have dropped mine a ton (from high up, like 6 feet) and the pad is still stuck on the wood, its definately not coming off. It has a quiet side, and a loud side. The loud side is better for working out your wrists, while the quiet is good for practicing buzz rolls.

Rubber side is okay, but the other makes no sense to me

One side -the rubber- works just fine, but I was pretty disappointed with the other side, which is a very hard surface and very loud. I returned it

Great pad

By Chris

from Orinda, CA

Comments about Vic Firth Double Sided Practice Pad:

This pad is great, it has a great mix of rebound and noise cancellation. if you cant play your drums all the time, this would be a great pad for you. however i would probably reccomend the HQ realfeel pad, it has a more realistic feel to it.

Vic Firth Practice pad

By rperez

Comments about Vic Firth Double Sided Practice Pad:

A must have for any drummer. It's quiet so you don't wake up the whole house. I'm new to drumming so it's helping me develop timing and muscle memory!

Great!

By AJ

from NYC

Comments about Vic Firth Double Sided Practice Pad:

I grew up with the original Vic Firth 6" double sided pad and this one is just as good and a bit lighter! Both sides are very responsive and equally provide great bounce. The 6" is sooo nice because I can carry it in my bag so I can practice anywhere and it doesn't weigh a ton! Built sturdy, you can really feel the quality in it!

Basic must have stuff...

By Blues&Mezcal

from Elko, NV

Comments about Vic Firth Double Sided Practice Pad:

I found this practice pad to be the best way to develop left hand speed, practice snare solos and even revisiting the basic rudiments everywhere in my house without annoying my family. They don't lie when they say the feeling is real! It's a little heavy to carry in a backpack, too.

Awesome pad

By drummer21

from Lapeer, MI

Comments about Vic Firth Double Sided Practice Pad:

I got this pad for my birthday and I love it. I love how it has two sides. Most of the time, I use the snare side. I pretty much use it every day. My dad gets head aches when I play the drums, so when he is home I just pull it out and use it. This pad is the real deal.

If you can, go for the 12 in., 6 in. for light practice.
