i have used every stick under the sun and after i played one gig with these i will never buy another stick they have a perfect weight and a really nice feel on your hands! the wooden ends don't make it to tingy when you play smaller venues the only thing i don't like is that they smell really bad when you buy them i think it is some type of lacker lol it gives you a little headache but it goes away after a day or 2 i would highly recommend these sticks!

Comments about Vic Firth Dave Weckl Evolution Signature Drumsticks:

these are by far the best drum sticks i have tried, they are light so you can move around the set quickly and they give great rebound. i've tried the other sticks but these are more functional i think...

The Perfect Pair

By HYPER!tension/jjones

Comments about Vic Firth Dave Weckl Evolution Signature Drumsticks:

I have been drumming since i was a freshman in high school, and there is no better set of sticks out there. Perfect balance and reach whatever your placement your set. I tend to use the nylon tipped ones because in my opinion, they seem to have a crisper cymbal sound on rides and high hats. The original signature pair usually made my hands sweat because of the lacquer, but not these babies. they have a much thinner coat and better rebound as it makes it lighter. Trust me, once you use them, you will never use anything else i promise.

WOW!!!

By The Toddinator

from Florida

Comments about Vic Firth Dave Weckl Evolution Signature Drumsticks:

I first bought the original Dave Weckl signature sticks, and I loved them. The only that I didn't like is my hands would get really when I played them. But the evolutions are the best sticks I have ever used! They very light which helps when moving around the set, and the rebound is great. They also don't make my hands sweat! I will never buy another brand's pair of sticks!!!

Comments about Vic Firth Dave Weckl Evolution Signature Drumsticks:

I live these sticks! They feel light in my hands, but have enough girth to be substantial. Nice and durable. Great sound! The only drawback would be the little yellow bits of sawdust that collect on my snare drum head as they get chewed-up by the hi-hats.

perfect, simply perfect!

By Ben L.

from Spartanburg, SC

Comments about Vic Firth Dave Weckl Evolution Signature Drumsticks:

I have never played a stick this well balanced with this good a feel before in my life! I've been using these for three years now since i found them and i'm never looking back, they feel amazing, and they make your cymbals sound like a million bucks, i believe sabian uses these in their product testing room if that tells you anything. No matter what style you play you won't be sorry with these!

Great sticks

By NOAH FELDMAN

from East Lyme, CT

Comments about Vic Firth Dave Weckl Evolution Signature Drumsticks:

I got a set of these with a bunch of latin percussion and drum hardware that I bought off Craigslist. They're great sticks, light with very nice balance and super clarity on cymbals. I find that I can hit hard with these sticks and still retain the focused sound that a lot of other sticks lose when really pounding. They're also very durable for a 5A shaft- I've snapped a few pairs playing rock, but there hasn't been a problem playing jazz yet, and the tips haven't started to chip on me yet. Overall, a great pair of Vic Firths for jazz and rock playing, with a nice feel in my hand and a great sound on cymbals and drums- and they're orange!

Fantastic Sticks, But I do wish they weren't painted

By Will Crock

from Ballwin, MO

Comments about Vic Firth Dave Weckl Evolution Signature Drumsticks:

I love the Balance of these sticks, and I love the sound as the tips begin to wear, it's a warmer, less pingy sound. I do like the color, in all it's garishness, but It begins to fade, and will leave a yellow residue on your coated drumheads, and your cymbals if you have the unpolished/unlathed dark cymbals. TLDR: Best Sticks Ever, just wish they were lacquered and not painted.
