Comments about Vic Firth Cindy Blackman Signature Drumsticks:
I primarily play jazz and blues and bought these sticks for the harder rock/metal Times. My jazz sticks are VATER Hickory Manhattan 7A nylon tip (.528 Dia X 16ۡݕ_ @54 grams) my Blues and heavier play sticks are Zildjian Hickory 5A wood Tip Dipped (.565 Dia x 16ۡݕ_ @ 58 grams) The Cindy Blackman sticks come in at.568 x 16ۡݕ_ @ 53 grams and have a bullet tip which played on the end of the tip Give a cymbal a more ۡ̏pingyۡݕ_ tone and when played otherwise give the cymbal A heavier fuller response similar to a 5b rock stick. The taper is No slouch either .270 at the tip as opposed to my Zil 5a that measures thinner at .230ۡ_. thatۡs .040 more insurance against breaking, You tip Breakers need to check these out! These sticks fit certain jazz arrangements where a heavier voice is needed and if Your used to 7A nylons these sticks make it very easy to be slightly behind by A millisecond or so as to support instead of lead
