I was kinda hesitant when i first picked these up because it was unlike any stick in the Vic Firth line up. I went to a practice pad and figured out that theses sticks were incredible! The taper was great in my hands and the sticks had so much clarity! The stick allows you to play very clear in quiet situations and doesnt have too much weight that you cant control double strokes or other rudiments. Great sticks for any situation!

I will start off by saying I love the Buddy Rich sticks. I have used the wood tips BR series sticks for a couple years now and they are great. The feel is great and they look awesome with the white finish. With the nylon tips I got great tone on the bell of my ride. The only thing that I noticed was that they broke different then the other Buddy Rich sticks I have used in the past. These sticks would break at the tip just below the Nylon tip and then start cracking back towards the butt of the stick. And honestly it didn't take much to break them or get that crack to start. I will be the first one to admit that I hit REALLY hard and I tend to g through most sticks like they are chop sticks. These ones just broke a little to easy for me. I think Ill stick with wooden tips.

      Control!

      By Maxim

      from Rochester

Comments about Vic Firth Buddy Rich Signature Drumsticks:

Love these sticks, and who isn't a fan of buddy rich? I play heavy metal mostly and I think these are great. Sure the tips are not the best for a big huge drum/cymbol impact, but they allow for so much control, especially with 4 stroke rolls/triplets and paradidles. Just a pleasure to play, the balance feels really cool. The semi gloss finish is sweet. Do not be afraid to buy a pair!

One of the best pairs of sticks I've ever used, butۡ_.

      By Matthew Simpson

      from CO

Comments about Vic Firth Buddy Rich Signature Drumsticks:

The Buddy Rich signature stick is easily one of my favorite playing sticks ever. The control and presicion offered by these sticks is unparalleled. I feel like they accept rebound much better than your average stick. Balance on these are perfect. I've recently ventured into trying promark sticks at the suggestions of some friends; compared to vic firth buddy rich sticks for my money the promarks do not stack up. They're not bad sticks, they just don't make me feel like a better player like the buddy rich sigs do. My main styles of music that I play in would be the extreme metal genres. These sticks take incredibly well to blast beats and quick fills. I also do jazz and rock; they do splendidly with these genres as well. However I do have one rather large problem with the sticks that keep them from being my main stick of choice: the white color. They leave pretty bad looking white marks all over your cymbals, hence the 4 stars and not 5. Id do 3.8 if that we an option. Yes I suppose you can clean them, but an active drummer or even just a busy person doesn't have the time to be constantly wiping down cymbals after practice/gigs. I do not know if vic firth ever reads these but if they could make this stick without the white coloring I would go out and buy as many as I could.

These are hands down my favorite stick. The way the weight is balanced changed the way I played when I first used them over 12 years ago. I have used them ever since.

      Awesome!!!

      By Michael Reed

      from Lansing, MI

Comments about Vic Firth Buddy Rich Signature Drumsticks:

I was turned on to these sticks in 1992 by one of the drum techs at Guitar Center in San Diego, CA, and I never looked back! They are the most well balanced, physically and tonally, than any other stick on the market, comming from a former major Pro-Mark Rock 747 user. They feel light enough for the most intricate linear grooves, the intricacies of jazz and fusion, and heavy enough for the demanding heavy strokes of hardcore metal. I will never use another stick! They are Awesome!

Good enough for Buddy, then good enough for me

      By Michael Cull

      from Muncie , IN

Comments about Vic Firth Buddy Rich Signature Drumsticks:

I've always had a fondess for the late great Buddy Rich so it was no surprise that his sticks would feel the best for my styles of performing. I have used many other weapons in the past, but these sticks just fit like a good pair of gloves, and their weight and lenght is just the perfect fit for me. I would recommend these sticks to any advanced or novice player at any time.
