Comments about Vic Firth American Classic Drumsticks with Silver Bullet Aluminum Tip:

These sticks are great to begin with. The aluminum tips definately aid in cymbal projection, especially for more intense rock music. It really helps out in any situation where you do not have to play as hard to get the same power you would with either the nylon or regular wood tip. This is mainly since the aluminum tips add some weight when you play on the drums, and a more projected stroke on a cymbal. First thing is the weight towards the aluminum side, slightly more than the nylon just be aware that it will be a big more "top" heavy in this sense, so it may take some getting used to, but no complaints there. The worry I have, and this is something I predicted, is that the aluminum tends to wear off on the cymbal itself. I've e-mailed the company to see if this will only dirty the cymbal or eventually damage it. If this will only make the cymbal dirtier, then its worth having these sticks, I just hope they don't have adverse effects on the cymbals themselves. So the sticks are great, just be aware of this one issue that you should look into before buying.
