This pad is simply amazing. I promise you that you will love this pad. It is loud, but you can play on the backside that is black foam. The back side has less bounce response, but it is quieter. If you can see the picture on the page, it is all yellow and in a round shape. The new ones that you will get if your order it will be different. It will be a white rubber color, but part of it will be cut off for the logo name. but overall, it is a great pad!!!! Buy it!!
It's defidently the best practice pad I have EVER used. Yes, it is loud but much easier to practice on for the snare drum students. I 100% recommend it.
I have owned the Vic Firth Slim Pad for almost a year and it is still in great condition. I would never buy another drum pad unless it's this one. I recommend it to any rudimental drummer who wants to experience that marching snare drum feel when practicing those hertas and triple ratamacues. WARNING: Although it is the best I have ever used, it is also one of the loudest so don't plan on using this drum pad to practice at night.
