These mutes are super...Still retain good stick action and head feel but with a lot less noise...snare is not quite as "quiet" as the toms, but still excellent over "open" heads! My dog AND wife love them too!
the mutes for the toms seem to slide off a little too easy for me, for anybody who hits hard i suspect this will be the case. also the bass drum pads broke after about 5 times playing total. the bass drum pad consists of foam with 1 velcro spot to hold it onto the bass drum head and a rubber pad in the middle where the drum pedal beaters hit, i had only used double bass on this pad twice and the rubber center came unglued. the cymbal mutes are also a little unsatisfactory. they do not circle the bell, instead they sit on top, but they do not drape over the bell like they should. when you then hit the cymbal the only part of the pad touching the cymbal is the very end so all it does is sound horrible and make the sound die faster. i would recommend the solid rubber pads that are raised in the middle for toms and snare, this also improves accuracy. the clip on mute for the bass, and dymbal mutes that go over the bell and sit on the actual cymbal but do not cover the bell
