Cool Temperature - easy to work around - can't do that with the old par can lights! Low power consumption - don't blow breakers - keep the show going, and it will throw light decently if you have some up on a good light stand. I have to say I was impressed with the product, and we also bought some american dj LED 3W pin spots, and for our gigs they have worked great. Looking forward to finishing up getting the rest of the light rack filled with these and getting a good elation light controller.

Well, I bought 4 of these lights from Guitar Center. Got them home and opened them up. 1 of them didn't come with a power chord. 1 of them didn't work at all, dead on arrival, and one of the buttons was broke on another, so that it was automatically depressing itself when the unit was facing down. So when I would try to scroll to a preferred setting, it had a mind of it's own. I don't know if it is the product, or the store, but, I've lost faith in both. Thanks for reading. p.s. If you want to space these out more than 5 ft, you're going to have to buy extension chords. And you'll want to, unless you like the lights on your ceiling to overlap when using them for uplighting.

Great unit, adds needed lighting activity on stage

By maichael mcnamara

from Delran, NJ

Real easy to use and set up. Never gets hot. Easy to set up light programs or set to change with music beat. We have 2 on stage and they add needed ambiance and action while we play with no interaction from us after they are set up.

Mobile DJ Service - Uplighting

By Hai Le

from WYOMING, MICHIGAN

I recently bought these venue ThinPar 64 LED last year & I am going to buy them again because they last really long and power lights. They are better than the Chauvet lights because its thin and light more efficiency. I use these lights for wedding surround the room or use them to shine on the dance floor!

Great purchase

By CHRIS TORRES

from san antonio tx

I just bought six of these on a suggestion by one of the store reps. I have to admit they are awesome lights. the lights are really bright and are easy to learn to use. the lights are lightweight and easy to set up. I hope they are reliable and last for awhile, but for now they are great lights and can't wait to start using them.

Low power and heat, good for the price

By Tane Glaus

from Heber City, UTAH!

I generally like these LED PAR64 luminares. Very low power consumption and heat are the most positive aspects of these lights. There also lightweight and take up little space. They do produce a relative narrow beam of light. If you need to use these in a small environment I'd recommend looking at the Elation or American DJ LED Shaping Filters. using these shaping filters will widen out the light beam for flood application. They can also create an oblong shape where the beam of light is wider in one direction than the other. The most extreme is the 60 degree filter where the light pool is shaped to an extreme narrow rectangle. In one direction the light streaks form side to side and the other direction is a narrow slit of light. This is great for washing a backwall, drop, scrim, syc, etc where the luminaire is placed on the floor just a few inches in front of the backwall and washes up the wall. Other shaping filters will flood out the pool of light in varing degrees. There is also a utube video demonstrating this effect. Dimming is a bit jerky or in steps so are not the best at slow fades. Mine have been used outdoors and rained on without any problems. They've been in service for 2 years with no problems. Everytime I set them up I go through the programming even if the config hasn't changed as they seem to act up if they've been unused for a month or so...if they are not working as expected, RE-PROGRAM THEM.

Venue Thinpar 64

By Kosta Maravelias

from Corpus Christi TX

I have seen positive and negative things written about this product and was worried about a multiple purchase of this item because I have never heard of Venue. I wanted to break into a new realm of the entertainment industry because of a friend, and start doing stage lighting. While at Guitar Center one afternoon, I saw the Venue Thinpar 64 on sale and decided to purchase one to test it out and see how they work. After buying ten of them and finally using them at a DJ gig, I am very pleased with my purchase. The lights work great, the colors are good and my DJ light show is now top of the line with these lights added to it. Guitar Center gave me a great price on these lights and I will get two more for a total of twelve. Great price, great value and I can?t wait to get hired to use them for my first concerts or singing group.

Great product

By Justin Seymour

from Milledgeville, GA

This is a great light weight, bright LED fixture. I have bought several and use them on lighting trees as well as for uplighting. They are easy to use, set up and operate with a DMX controller or in stand alone mode.
