The high-powered Venue Hyperflex moonflower comes with 12 standard and seasonal gobo patterns, a 19-mirror, 6-color moonflower reflector, and motorized gobo selection. The effect light operates in 3 control modes including static, auto, and sound active. It features rugged construction with heavy-duty casing, mounting yoke, and adjustable focus.
The lights are super bright. The globos are interesting and rotate around the center one. It even has a image focusing feature. I has 3 functions: sound activated, stationary and rotating. Ok, so it weighs a bit, 17.5 lbs. Big deal, most rigs can handle 100+ lbs. I have had this for over a year and have had no problems with it. On the floor, on the ceiling, on the wall or even in the trees it has become a staple in our light show. In fact, I am about to buy another one. downside, I wish you could change the pattern remotely.
I purchased this unit to add a little punch to my lighting rig. Now performance wise the unit was decent. Here is the part I don't get. The Gobos in this unit would be something a mobile DJ or a band would use for parties right? Here is the deal breaker. It weighs 17.5 pounds! How many of us have light stands that can safely support that kind of weight. I know mine cannot. With all of the new technology (LED) in lighting available today I want to make my set up as light as possible. The Venue Hyperflex 12 G is not a good choice for DJ's and bands on the go.
