A cool-looking, convenient, and time-saving method for securing cymbals to stands. Unlike the traditional wing nut, the Slick Nut doesn't need to be threaded on or off and won't loosen or fall off while you play. Simply hold in the fastening button, put Slick Nut on the cymbal stand, and release the button. It can also be used as a theft deterrent by tightening the hex set screw on the side of the body. This makes the Slicknut nonremovable, a great feature for drummers who have to leave their drum kits in clubs overnight. The Slick Nut fits stands with 8mm threads and has a cymbal felt attached. Hex key and replacement felt included.

They'll sometimes come unseated and slide up the metal thread leaving your cymbal flopping all over until the song ends so you can readjust it. The idea behind these are good and they are great when they work... but that's only 75% of the time.
Just got one of these for my Agazarian China, works great. fits right into the bell with room to play so there is no metal to metal contact like with a regular wingnut. I will say though that you have to watch the allen-bolt lock. I seems that it tightened during playing and makes it difficult to easily take off and put on.
If you are debating getting this product due to the money then let me tell you it is is well worth it. I wish I would have purchased them years ago. No longer do I have to worry about my cymbals coming loose during a gig. Plus it takes no time at all to setup or take off the cymbals now. The security lock is cool too so you don't have to worry about someone running off with a cymbal since they would have to take the stand with the cymbal attached to it. The only warning I have it that you must have enough of a shaft on the stand for it to clamp on to. I have one stand that has a very short shaft (e.g barely sticks above the normal wing nut when tightened down).
I've been in the process for years to replace my hardware with new stands and such, until then, my since stripped twist on T bolts can be chucked and the Slick Nut slides in about 2 seconds, I real time saver...
These work great, and can save a show! I highly recommend them, high quality fasteners are essential, especially for the gigging drummer!
I got tired of screwing on every wing nut for my cymbal stands, this really saves a lot of time. They are not that expensive and it is well worth the price because they are really convinent and a great upgrade for your stands. I would recommend these to anyone who gigs a lot and is on the go because these will save time setting up your set.
