  • Wires feel cheap.

    As reviewed by on 10/25/2006

I borrowed a pair of these from a friend (they were brand new) and even though it's fun to have a stick on the other end, the bruch wires weren't as good as the ones I'd been using. Also, it's a little awkward to hold the brush end and try to get any real control from the stick end. Might be good for situations where you need to make fast changes, and can't get to a real stick.

  • Great for verstility

As reviewed by Shannon on 4/25/2009

First of all let me say that these are not the best general purpose brushes. The balance is a little weird. But, these are fantastic if you need versatility. I use these when I'm playing a jazzy song that needs a little more power in a verse or chorus. With these I can just flip them around and get a full ride sound. I've also found that these are the BEST brushes for playing country and rockabilly music. The "handle" is longer than regular brushes, so I'm really able to lay into some rim shots when I'm playing train beats. Try that with regular brushes. Plus since the handle is wood, rim shots actually sound good and don't destroy the handle. If you're looking for a pair of every day normal brushes, these aren't for you. Pick up a pair of the Regal Tip Clayton Cameron brushes for that. But if you need a little extra power from time to time when you're playing brushes, these are a great addition to your arsenal of sticks.
