  • Sweet Stick

    As reviewed by Dion(Drummaster D)Duncan on 7/31/2009

I love this sticks. I've played more than twenty-five years. Great for all kinds of music. The power from a big stick with out the weight. Plus the tip of these sticks bounce off the drum heads the so smooth. They need to make these in nylon!

  • Great Sticks!

As reviewed by Durge on 8/8/2011

I love large diameter drumsticks, problem is if they are a big diameter they are long and heavy. These are thick yet short and the maple really makes them light so fast playing is a breeze. My only problem is I prefer barrel tips, but its not a deal breaker, these are GREAT!

  • The Miracle Stick

As reviewed by Vince Adame on 4/7/2010

After thirty five years of drumming I have tried and been true to many brands of drumsticks, but then I started to suffer chronic hand pain. I discovered that the Vater sugar maple absorbs more of the shock that hickory tends to transfer to your hands. The Piccolo model features one of the largest shafts in the entire Vater line and that can ease hand discomfort as well. The round tip produces a full and punchy sound on the drums and a stronger tone on cymbals. For moderate to heavy hitters, this is a stick that you will more likely retire from use than suddenly break. That's because the maple whittles down on its beefier shoulder more often than splitting. On the rare occasions that I have cracked these sticks, my experience is that they give way gradually, letting you confidently jettison the breaking stick to grab a fresh stick from your bag without upsetting your groove. To sum up: relieves hand pain, sounds great, lasts longer. A miracle stick, and the ace in my stick bag.
