Incredibly Durable

As a metal player who is revered for his "energy and craziness" on stage, I was plagued with the problem of breaking a stick almost every week. I went to my local guitar center and just started trying a new kind of stick every time I went in. I finally picked these and I could not be happier. They are light enough that dexterity and speed are possible, but heavy and durable enough to last for weeks. A great buy, especially for metalcore/thrash drummers who need both durability and speed.

Good sticks

I got these sticks for a birthday present and I must say, they give you pretty much everything you could possibly want from a stick; they are durable, light, and provide some nice power. My only complaint is that the tips chip very fast! I had one tip saw off in half in a matter of a few days. This is a large problem that is happened within a week or so to each of the three pairs I received. Again these sticks don't break, but the tips chip. I would give these a cautious recommendation, but I will not be purchasing this model of stick again. I love Vater, but this is a pretty big problem.

The Perfect Stick for the Seasoned Drummer.

Being a drummer for over fifteen years, I have played with my fair share of sticks and I can guarantee that no other Drum stick company provides a more balanced or durable pair for your hands to work their magic. When you pick them up you will feel the difference. Make sure you have another company handy to test the difference. Five Stars all the way!!!!

Best rock sticks ever!

I put a beating on my equipment. I've broken two pair of Ahead 5b's. Vater Power 5A are the first sticks I've found that won't break after a few hours of play. Most 5 sticks have a wooden bead, but Vater added a nylon tip for great cymbal play. Each stick is weighted properly, no drag or hesitation because of a weight difference. Definitely my choice of stick.

The only sticks

These 5A's a set of vater 7Bs and some vater rods are ALL I use. In my opinion they are the only stick. They chip horribly around the top on the hi-hat but you will wear them down to toothpicks before they break. If you don't mind the floor around your kit looking like a woodshop try them you won't regret it. A bit expensive but GC clerks usually drop them to 5 a pair if you buy 4pair or more.
