Designed with the hip-hop DJ in mind, sporting a clear battle area around the faders, the 1601 features selectable line or phono inputs and 3-band EQ on each channel, high-pass filters for removing turntable rumble or stage noise, an FX send and return loop with selectable signal feed locations, and an independent mic/line input with 2-band EQ. Each input fader has selectable response curves, as does the crossfader. The headphone outputs (both 1/4" and mini-jack connectors are provided) have an EQ control that lets you tune the phones to your ears. 2 independent sets of dual 10-segment LED meters show the input and output levels. Outputs are on both balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA-phono connectors. A specially designed Exciter section boosts those tightly pressed vinyls and accentuates your scratches and has a variable frequency control and a mix control to allow the excited program to be added to the main mix. The 1601 is powered by an integral universal voltage power supply. Built to survive hours of practice with fully replaceable faders and knobs and reverse/curve adjust on all faders.

Best mixer out there

By Robert James

from Philly, PA

Comments about Urei 1601 Digital Scratch Mixer:

This is the best battle mixer I have used yet. It blows anything that Vestax, Pioneer, and the others have to offer. It has faders that are smooth as glass and super sturdy. All the faders and knobs are all high quality (no cheap flimsy faders here!). It has both XLR and RCA outs, Effects sends/Returns, & an on board FX generator that you can filp on and off. This mixer is a must have for the turntablist.

By good deal but one bad upkeep

Comments about Urei 1601 Digital Scratch Mixer:

i was very impressed with this mixer, it has everything you need, none of the features that jack the cost up and you will never use, great mixer, the faders are increadibly smooth, but i did find one problem with this mixer, the crossfader isnt made to last, i have to buy a new fader every 3 weeks(i do put alot of wear on it, but i never put presure on it). this mixer is a good buy for the money if you are willing change the crossfader in short periods of time
