Works great for playing live or practicing songs where you need a little help remembering the lyrics or chords. The one idea that might improve this nice design is to make the backing board 8.5 by 11 inches. That way, when playing outdoors in the wind, you can put a clip on the bottom and not have your music flappin' in the breeze.

Very Small

This is basicially a piece of cardboard the size of a DVD case with a clip on it. Much smaller than it looks online.

NOT A MUSIC STAND - Clipboard

By Edward

Comments about Up-Stage Clip-On Music Stand:

If I knew what I was going to get, I would not have bought it. It's too small to be used for holding music books. Even if it were larger, there is no lip to support anything. Just the clip that holds the 6" x 8" corrugated plastic board. Not sure how long the clip assembly will last. It needs to be handled carefully while re-positioning it. I suppose for very specialized purposes it will work (short notes for helping you thru a speech, etc) Needs to be advertised for what it is, a 6"x8" Clipboard.

It was exactly what I wanted

By Tim Byrnes

from NY, NY

Comments about Up-Stage Clip-On Music Stand:

Here's the thing: it is a simple little product, but it does what it advertises very well...it holds up a sheet of music in what is otherwise an inconvenient location. I've been attaching it to my double-tiered keyboard stand in my home studio, which happens to be almost flush against the wall, so there is no room for a music stand. The product is also inexpensive. I bought two and do not regret it.

clip on music stand

By Terry

from Sacramento

Comments about Up-Stage Clip-On Music Stand:

This is a great product. It is inexpensive and very affective. I love clipping it to my bass when I am practicing. I can just glance from the fret board to the tabs that i am learning. Sweet. My only complaint is that you have to order this on line. It should be stocked in the store.

Clip-On Music Stand

By Kyle Darren Brock

from Farmers Branch, Texas

Comments about Up-Stage Clip-On Music Stand:

The clip on music stand is perfect for rehearsal. I sing and play guitar. So I have the clip-on music stand attached to my mic stand. I must say the simplicity of this product guarantees it's longevity. I would suggest this product for any level of musician. Thanks Guitar Center for provided musicians with this product.

up-stage clip on music stand

By Sherrie Krenn

from Nashville, TN

Comments about Up-Stage Clip-On Music Stand:

The concept is great but it is very cheaply made and will more than likely only be good for a few uses because there is a good chance it will bend or break especially if you are a touring musician. Really don't understand why they made the clips out of plastic! I'd return it but it's more trouble than it's worth.............

Comments about Up-Stage Clip-On Music Stand:

I am a guitarist who sings, I order this cause after 32 years of trying to find a place for my lyric sheet, I broke down and bought this clip on music sheet, it so handy and makes playing guitar and reading the lyrics sooooo easy. I recommend any musician out there to get this handy dandy clip on music stand, it beats setting it on your amp.

Needed something to hold a tablet, this so called music stand has a clip on to bit nothing at the bottom, so it won't hold anything more than a single sheet of paper.

Good for what I was looking for.

        By PAUL MCFARLAND

        from Timberlake, North Carolina

Comments about Up-Stage Clip-On Music Stand:

I play guitar and sing for outdoor worship services for homeless folks. I don't need extra equipment to carry around because it is more to have to set up. This clip-on music stand was exactly what I needed to hold lyric sheets and it fits in my guitar case. The corrugated plastic panel is lightweight and has held up well the first few times I have used it. The swivel balls look really fragile and I expected the mount to break, but it has held up well. The clip holds sheets of paper tight to the corrugated plastic panel. To keep the wind from blowing the paper over, I used a couple of clothes pins on the opposite side from the clip. For this price, there isn't really a lot out there that can do what this music stand does. You can attach it to a microphone stand or to the guitar headstock. I prefer to clip to the mic stand since I move the guitar around a lot while playing.
