The Universal Percussion UP197 Round Double-Braced Drum Throne is a heavy-duty throne offering strength and comfort. The strong tripod legs are double-braced and capped with fat rubber feet for stability. The seat is generously padded to give you a comfortable ride.
I have had this throne for over a year, and it has held up AMAZINGLY! I have had large people on it, I play nearly every day, and it hold up great. The only problem is the thumb screw that keeps the seat from rotating lossens by itself, but some of you might like to have a little rotation. Really great for the price, especially learning drummers, and hobbyist. For active drummers on the road: try a more expensive, and more padded Pork Pie.

This seat is a great addition to those players that are a hobbyist, occasional player, or just having a practice session. The other night I played drums for about 3 hours and I have to say that I still felt supported, and comfortable, in my playing. I felt that I could have kept going. I highly recommend this throne for those that are not using their kit for professional use or for those looking to supplement your Rock Band/Guitar Hero playing sessions.

What a bargain, I researched to find a comfortable throne in seating and the wallet. Great price. It will replace my 1960's Ludwig. Thanks again for your products.

This throne is very strong for the price. I am not that small of a dude so it can handle some weight. I was very happy with the shipping too. I would recommend this throne for anyone on a budget. If you play hard or are just a beginner it is great for anyone.

I bought this for the kids to use with their Rock Band game and while it's a good size for an adult, it's not small enough for Kindergarteners. He makes due with it though! For a beginning drummer of any age it's a sturdy enough seat at a great price.
