Affordable Ultrasone HFI-450 headphones use the same S-Logic Surround Sound technology found in Ultrasone's legendary HFI-15G headphones. The closed-back HFI-450 offers the same powerful, clear sound reproduction that Ultrasone users have come to expect. Entry-level HFI-450 headphones are specifically for audiophiles on a budget who still want the famous Ultrasone sound for home and studio.
Ultrasone S-Logic Natural Surround Sound
It's just like being in a live concert! Ultrasone's S-Logic Natural Surround Sound creates a 3-D sound field with proven psychoacoustic principles. No additional equipment is required. Sound reflecting off of the outer ear helps us to localize its source. The Ultrasone S-Logic system directs sound to the outer ear before it enters the auditory canal, creating natural 3-dimensional sound. Instead of trying to squeeze a band (or an entire symphony orchestra) inside your head, Ultrasone HFI-450 headphones immerse you in a rich, natural musical environment. And they do it without any artificial echo, time delay, or digital processing.
Ultrasone S-Logic not only creates natural surround sound, it also reduces sound pressure levels as much as 40% (3-4 dB), while maintaining the same perceived loudness. Listening at lower volumes without losing the perception of volume increases listening pleasure while reducing the risk of ear damage. You'll have hours of fatigue-free listening. (However, that's not an excuse to crank it even more. To prevent hearing damage, Ultrasone advises you always to listen at lower volume.)
Even at very low volume levels, Ultrasone HFI-450 headphones still deliver the same spacious sonic effect, so you to hear every sound as though you were there when it was recorded. For even greater safety in long listening sessions, Ultrasone employs a special MU Metal shielding (ULE), for Ultra Low Emissions that reduces electromagnetic radiation by 98% as compared to conventional headphones.

I have owned these headphones for a few years now, and up until recently I noticed that they are inaccurate. I use these for EQ-ing and mixdowns, and they sound fine through the headphones, but when you bring your music to a different playback area, like a car or mp3 player (though a pair of other brand earbuds/headphones), your mix doesn't sound the way it did through the headphones. The headband that goes over your head while wearing the headphones also gives you horrible migraines after a long period of wearing them. If I had known these things about the headphones, I would have never bought them, even for their bargain price. I am looking for new ones.
I just got these phones a few hours ago and I haven't taken them off of my ears since. They have a really nice dynamic range which gives you a great listening experience. However, I keep hearing a weird sound on the left side and I can't figure out if it's just the music I'm listening to, or the headphones themselves.
