Foldable, closed-back professional DJ headphones featuring natural surround sound and aluminum nameplates.

The Ultrasone DJ1 PRO headphones are foldable, closed-back professional DJ headphones with aluminum nameplates. Includes DJ1 Box (hardcase) for safe transportation and storage, including accessories. Technologies: S-Logic Natural Surround Sound, MU Metal shielding (ULE-technology), safer hearing.

In cooperation with the most famous DJs, Ultrasone developed this outstanding pair of professional DJ headphones. Using a heavy-duty 50mm Mylar driver, the closed-back DJ1 PRO provides the most powerful music output in combination with the most advanced technologies. Equipped with MU-Metal shielding these headphones also meet the needs of DJs considering safer hearing aspects. In addition you will find useful accessories in the DJ1 PRO hardcase: one coiled cord (3m), one coiled cord with volume control and stereo/mono switch and a spare pair of speed-switch earpads. The new designed hardbox will ensure a safe transportation and storage.

ULE-technology & PRO design
PRO headphones have Ultra Low Emission (ULE) technology with significant benefits for professional users. PRO headphones also have a unique design; the PRO appearance not only distinguishes the professional line but also allows a higher degree of transparency in combination with the spatial sense and understanding, due to more ear anatomy area.

To understand what ULE-technology does, you need to know that most headphone drivers produce low-frequency magnetic fields as they convert an electric signal into an acoustical signal that you hear as music. In response, Ultrasone developed a special MU Metal shielding (ULE-technology) to reduce the radiation by up to 98% compared to current headphones. The ULE-technology has stood the test of international review and is recommended by technical surveillance organizations. Ultrasone originally developed the ULE-technology for professionals as they spend half of their lives in headphones. But due to grand requests the, ULE-technology has now been integrated in other Ultrasone headphone lines.

S-Logic Natural Surround Sound
Through the S-Logic Natural Surround Sound the usual headphone sound will be moved out of the head into the room around you. The sound is no longer locked in, but appears broad and detached. Directions and distances can be heard and perceived--it's just like being in a live concert. For this new technology, additional equipment is not required. Take a pair of Ultrasone headphones plus your sound device and you will be ready for the 3-dimensional sound enjoyment.

Safer hearing
S-Logic does not only create a Natural Surround Sound. S-Logic allows, at the same time, a reduction of sound pressure levels by up to 40% (3-4 dB) for the same loudness sensation. This may reduce the risk of hearing damage while ensuring hours of fatigue-free listening. However, Ultrasone generally advises not to listen to music at high volumes to prevent hearing damage.

  • Great Headphones!!

As reviewed by Nelson on 3/25/2009

I have been using this headphones for the last 6 or 7 month on a regular basis as I'm a club dj. This cans sound great!! They are very light and the hard case ir a great thing to hace for transportation. They are NOT as loud as other dj headphones (technics, pioneer, etc) but that doesn't bother me as i listen to them at low volumen when i dj... I recomen this to anybody looking for a great set of headphones!

  • Clear sound

As reviewed by paperacoustic on 6/22/2010

Ultrasone has made a pretty good job on these headphones. Unlike the industry standard Sony MDRV700s or the other DJ headphones which emphasize the low end, the DJ1 Pro gives a more production and mixing sound that is crisp and accurate. The S-Logic technology is great without giving you ear fatigue. With the technology, ehe headphone speakers are not positioned directly in your ear so that it gives a more studio monitor detail and sounds as if you are actually live when listening, whereas typical headphones shoots sound directly into your ear. The downside is that because the sound doesn't shoot straight to your ear, you have to wear the headphones correctly, and single slight movement will make the headphone sound like a "can." I say these are one of the more accurate sounding headphones that gives a clear picture of your mix. It has nice deep low end that is not overstated, the mids are solid, and the highs are clear and crisp. Although it might not sound like your typical DJ headphones, these are definitely wroth a try. The case and cables, which also comes with a test CD, also give these cans a luxury. It is definitely worth a listen.

  • Not so Pro

As reviewed by Mau V on 2/26/2010

Well, first of all the sound is not accurate in a DJ environment, they totally lack low end definition and punch, The case is massive, not very portable, and the design is a little oversized. I don't recomend them for professional DJing. Go for Sony or Pioneer
