Overview

The Ultimate Support AX-48 Pro offers everything keyboard players loved about the original APEX keyboard stand while offering sleek new design and updated features that support a new generation of keyboards and workstations. The APEX AX-48 Pro is intended to shine the spotlight on you, the keyboard players while securely supporting your prized instruments.

APEX AX-48 Pro Product Breakdown:

- Sleek, new design
- APEX-quality features
- Professional tri-bar arms
- Simple setup and tear-down

Sleek, new design:
The modern look and shape of the APEX AX-48 Pro takes a nod from its big brother, the flagship AX-90, and brings the keyboard player out from behind a stack of no-character keyboard stands, and into the spotlight with the rest of the band. The footprint of the new AX-48 Pro has not changed from the previous APEX, but now offers an updated column design that is as esthetically pleasing as it is performance ready.

APEX-quality features:
Everything keyboard players have come to appreciate about the APEX keyboard stand for over two decades is still available in the new APEX AX-48 Pro. It's THE original column style keyboard stand that securely holds two keyboards out of the box (up to 125 lbs each!). The patented Tri-bar arms are height adjustable, the support legs are super stable, and it's incredibly easy to setup, tear down, and transport from gig to gig.

Professional tri-bar arms:
Keyboards, synthesizers, and keyboard workstations have evolved in the last two or three decades since the original APEX was developed. The APEX AX-40 Pro now ships with two sizes of Tri-bar arms (one set of 13" arms, and one set of 18" arms) to safely hold today's keyboards, synthesizers, and keyboard workstations of all sizes.

Simple setup and tear-down:
Setup and tear down takes seconds! The AX-48 Pro breaks down into a single, slender unit that's easy to transport and doesn't take up hardly any room because the hollow column becomes its own carrying case! The legs remain connected and slide into and out of the base of the column, and the arms that support your keyboards are stored in compartments at the top of the column.

Unstudy and poor craftmanship

Comments about Ultimate Support AX-48 Pro Column Keyboard Stand:

I purchased the AX-48 last week at GC in Sugarland, TX. When I got home, I promptly unboxed the stand. The legs were neatly tucked into the base as I expected from watching the few video reviews I came across. When I pulled the legs out to snap into place, I noticed that they were all very loose. I had to use some force to snap the legs out. In the deployed position, the legs are hyper-extended resulting in a the base of the "pole" being lower than the ends of the legs - therefore, quite wobbly. Curious, I unscrewed the three base hex screws. The screws must have been driven by an over-torqued electric driver. Metal shavings followed them out of the holes. Removal of the base place revealed the cheapest looking metal brackets for securing the legs of a device advertised to hold in excess of 200 lbs. I promptly replaced the screws and boxed the stand back up. Next day, I returned it to GC for a refund. While the concept is good, the implementation of this stand is very poor.

Good Stand

Comments about Ultimate Support AX-48 Pro Column Keyboard Stand:

I have had mine for about a month. No problems. Easy to put together. I bought an extra set of 13" arms and its loaded up pretty good now. I have a Ensoniq TS-12 on the bottom, a Akai AX-80 in the middle and a Novation UltraNova on top. The Novation weighs very little but the other 2 are quite heavy. It stays at home, So I dont move it around. I like it enough that I am going to buy another one before the week is out.

Stand started falling apart

By

from New Jersey

Comments about Ultimate Support AX-48 Pro Column Keyboard Stand:

The first thing to go was the stabilizer at the base of the stand. It just broke off one day about three weeks after purchase. Then the pin to pull out the legs started to stick in the leg. and it was a challenge to coax it out. then finally the pin just came off and so we have to store it and insert it to pull out the legs.. major inconvenience. The design is wonderful and easy to store but the stand is not as durable as its predecessor.
