A NAMM Best of Show, Ultimate Support's APEX Series Keyboard Stands represent over two decades of research and development and are used all over the world by gigging keyboard players and touring musicians. The AX-48 Pro Plus bundle includes the venerable AX-48 Pro (Black), AX-48 Pro Mic Boom, and AX-48 Pro Tote. The APEX Series is the finest looking keyboard stands on the market, and are intended to shine the spotlight on keyboard players, while securely supporting their prized instruments.
Simple Setup and Tear Down
Setup and tear down takes seconds with the AX-48 Pro. It breaks down into a single, slender unit that's easy to transport and doesn't take up hardly any room because the hollow column becomes its own carrying case. The legs remain connected and slide into and out of the base of the column, and the arms that support your keyboards are stored in compartments at the top of the column.
Sleek, new design
The modern look and shape of the APEX AX-48 Pro brings the keyboard player out from behind a stack of no-character keyboard stands, and into the spotlight with the rest of the band. The footprint of the new AX-48 Pro has not changed from the previous APEX, but now offers an updated column design that is as aesthetically pleasing as it is performance-ready.
Everything keyboard players have come to appreciate about the APEX keyboard stand for over two decades is still available in the new APEX AX-48 Pro. It's the original column-style keyboard stand that securely holds two keyboards out of the box (up to 125lb. each). The patented Tri-bar arms are height adjustable, the support legs are super stable, and it's incredibly easy to setup, tear down, and transport from gig to gig.
Professional Tri-bar Arms
Keyboards, synthesizers, and keyboard workstations have evolved in the last two or three decades since the original APEX was developed. The APEX AX-48 Pro now ships with two sizes of Tribar arms (one set of 13" arms, and one set of 18" arms) to safely hold today's keyboards, synthesizers, and keyboard workstations of all sizes.
Includes a Mic Boom and Professional Tote
The AX-48 Pro Plus bundle includes the best microphone boom arm ever developed for live performance, the Ulti-Boom (Telescoping) and an adapter that fits right on top of the APEX keyboard stand! What's more, this bundle includes a professional tote that not only houses the keyboard stand, but also has a dedicated space for the Ulti-Boom. The AX-48 Pro Plus is the perfect bundle for the keyboard player who gigs often and also sings!

I've been working for years playing two keyboards, plus singing simultaneously. Finally Ultimate came up with the perfect keyboard stand for it: - It's strong enough to support two heavy keyboards with no problem, in my case Yamaha Motif XS6 & Yamaha CP4 Stage 88 Wooden keys. - The two sizes of Tri-bar Arms are definitively helpful when using keyboards of different sizes: the longer ones hold the wide Motif perfectly, while the shorter ones hold the narrow CP4 with no problem, letting you play freely without any discomfort for the Tri-bar Arms being too long or too shorter. - Additional to it, Ultimate came with the great idea of padding the Tri-bar Arms, which ensures 2 things: the keyboards won't slide, & won't get scratched. Just great! - With this stand model Ultimate fixed the uncomfortable-when-carrying-it triangular edges of its former stand models, adding the very helpful bag or tote, which solved permanently the issue of carrying it safely & easily. - The Mic Boom is one of the best features of this stand: It solved effectively the issue of having to carry your mic stand around, & trying to find the less uncomfortable way to place it, so you would be able to sing & play simultaneously in a comfortable way. Definitively 5 stars, no doubt! NOTE: About stability when using it with two heavy keyboards, you don't need to add a sandbag to it; just carefully push the stand all the way down to the floor (before you mount the keyboards on it, of course) & it'll stay as firm as you need it.
I really love this stand - the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was that it does seem to have a bit of trouble stabilizing with two really heavy keyboards on it. Even with the stabilizer fully extended in the front, the stand was a little wobbly when fully loaded. Adding a sandbag on the back leg fixed this though. Still highly recommended!
I had an older Ultimate Keyboard stand years ago that a friend had given me. It had gone through years of abuse- but it was as sturdy as ever. I eventually gave it to my church a couple of years back. Recently I starting gigging again and the X braced stand I had was just not sturdy feeling enough for me. I was going to buy another X stand- but sturdier. Then I remembered my old ultimate stand. Yes, this is more expensive than the heavy duty X stands, but well worth it. And the added bonus of the mic boom and carrying case just adds to the well thought out design that IMHO Ultimate always represented. Also the fact that almost all the parts are replaceable if needed made this purchase a no brainer for me.
