Overview

CHRISTIAN LINDBERG TROMBONE MOUTHPIECE

Mouthpiece rims are sized in close relation to each other, so that changing from one to another is extremely comfortable. For example, the 13CL alto mouthpiece is specifically designed to ease the transition to and from the 2CL or 4CL large bore tenor mouthpiece. Similarly, the 15CL alto mouthpiece makes it easy to switch back and forth from the 5CL large bore tenor mouthpiece. The Lindberg cup rim is slightly thinner than on other brands, which makes flexibility and movement from top to bottom register easier. Also, the inside of the rim is slightly sharper, which facilitates articulation. Expand your musical horizons with the new Christian Lindberg trombone mouthpiece from UMI.

Model Shank Cup Diameter Description
2CL Large 25.55mm Big, dark, open sound
4CL Large 25.60mm Slightly brighter than the 2CL, with substance and richness
5CL Large 25.83mm Bright, clear and distinct sound; easy top register and improves endurance
10CL Small 25.15mm Full and clear sound
13CL Small 25.90mm Clear distinct sound on tenor trombone and full open sound on alto trombone
15CL Small 25.75mm Distinct and clear sound with body and richness on alto trombone

Comments about UMI Christian Lindberg Series Trombone Mouthpiece:

I own a Conn 88HCL and I was looking for a mouthpiece that felt better on my face , so I was trying to decide between a gold Bach 5G or this mouthpiece. I researched a lot on it and decided to pick one up. At first I liked it a lot but then when I started playing with it in my band at school and various honors bands I've been in over the past few months I noticed how extremely bright it is. I heard that I was bright in some reviews I saw somewhere so I decided to get it in gold... It didn't help. the cup is also a HUGELY shallower than my 5G that I own and it makes the tone very "airy" sortof like you're playing on a 12C with a huge thrrought and back bore. I might use it in collage for recitals and things, but not for what I am doing now. I also agree with the other review about the low register.

Comments about UMI Christian Lindberg Series Trombone Mouthpiece:

In my opinion, the best feature of this mouthpiece series is the variety and the ease of transitioning between them.I own the 2cl and the 15cl for tenor and then for alto and they work extremely well together. The narrow rim size may fatigue some players rather quickly, fortunately this hasnt affected myself yet, so I love these mouthepieces.

Cons

Comments about UMI Christian Lindberg Series Trombone Mouthpiece:

Feels good for high notes, but notes lower than the bottom line G can be harder to hit, but pedals come easily for me (I can usually play any pedal down to a 4 line F on other mouthpiece, and this one is no exception). Good overall mouthpiece!

13CL

By VTM

from Los Angeles, CA

Comments about UMI Christian Lindberg Series Trombone Mouthpiece:

This moutpiece resonates easier than the bach mouthpieces. This is silver, and it's just plain amazing. The high notes don't take alot of effort to sound. C above middle C to the next D are easy. I'm working on going further. The mouthpiece sells for a good price. I have not regrets.

5 CL mouthpiece

By George Norbeck

from Woodside, CA

Comments about UMI Christian Lindberg Series Trombone Mouthpiece:

I am playing a Shires .547 trombone with F attachment using a #5 Griego mouthpiece. This mouth piece helps a warm tone and is good for bass trombone, and middle/lower parts in orchestras and jazz/concert bands. However, when playing 1st trombone in a concert band I couldn't get the brilliant highs I wanted. So, when I read the specs on the 5CL I was very interested and happy to report it plays as advertised. I now can get brilliant highs and a satisfactory middle range and get into low notes very easily. I like both mouthpieces very much.
